WWHP still as busy?

We last visited sept '10 couple months after it just opened. It was ridiculously busy, queuing right through marvel island just to get in?!!!!

I'm hoping by now the demand has died down a bit??

We were there 2 weeks ago and also when it opened. I was hoping the crowds would of died down by now too but I thought it was just as crowded.

We were there last week and in line by 8:00 am. We had a 15 minute wait. It was an hour by 9:00 and pretty much like that all day. Queue was long but not crazy long and disruptive to the rest of Hogsmeade.

We visited at the end of July, we had 2 days in IOA and didn't queue to get in at any point throughout the days - we were in and out. The queue for Forbidden Journey was huge but we just did single rider. The queue for Ollivanders looked bad from opening to closing, I didn't ask how long it was though because we weren't bothered - we bought a wand from one of the carts with no wait. The shops were jam-packed, you couldn't move in Honeydukes as the queue was right around the shop. The queues for Butterbeer at the carts were long but there was no queue generally in the Hogs Head, even in heavy rain.

? That's on the other side of the park. You'd have to go through Jurassic Park and the toon area to have a que that long. How did they control that?

Anyway, yes it's still busy but not THAT busy. Forbidden Journey is usually over an hour but you can get on it faster at opening and close.

I know!! It was beyond ridiculous!! I did take pic of queues but now I cant find it

I am NOT a HP fan at all but Husband and daughter are, so it was kinda lost on me.

It all depends on when you go. If you go when the kids are out of school, it is still pretty busy. If you go when the kids are in school, it is very manageable.

April tends to have spring breakers. So the crowds can be high depending on what week you choose.

We just came back from US/IOA we had a great 4 days there....WW was not so bad the first day we went, the line at Olivanders was only ten people in front of us and twenty in back of us. They still had a person outside controlling the line, there was a person in back of us holding a place in line for six others who came galloping up at the last minute and he promptly pulled them all off line and put them in back of the queue. Dont mess with the Wand people!

I have to admit, and Ill be admonished for this, but I didnt really care for WW. Other than the fact that my 10 yr old son was picked to get a wand at Olivanders, I didnt really see what all the hubub is all about. The FJ ride was really jolting, the castle was awesome, the mini rollercoaster was ok, and the shops were overcrowded and overpriced (all two of them). The line for butterbeer was short, and it was tasty, but you get to choose between a 10.50 plastic mug of butterbeer or a 3.50 plastic cup? I dont mean to keep harping on the pricing here, I can well afford anything sold in the park, but I felt a little ripped off at the pricing at WW compared to the rest of the parks. Sort of like a little tourist trap.

WW is a nice concept, but it could be expanded a little more and from what I read here and from what some park employees told me, they are in the process of doing that. They are also bringing over the Transformers ride from US California. I believe it is going to replace the Fear Factor area.

We're staying a Disney's Saratoga Springs for 14 nights. We arrive 7th leave 21st so we'll be going to US/IOA for 2 days out of the 14 x

There are three shops in WW. Honeydukes, Filch's Emporium and Owl Post/Dervish and Bangs.

The Transformers ride is going to be attached to the Monster's Cafe. The area beside the Fear Factor theatre is going to be London/Gringotts.

There is also an expansion going on at IOA to the Wizarding World. You should have been able to see it while you were there.

I honestly don't find prices much different at WW than anywhere else at Universal or Disney. Butterbeer is the same price as the new similar drink at Carsland at California Advanture.
