WWHP California vs Florida

Has anyone been to Harry Potter section both in CA and FL? I’d love to hear how they are similar and different. Pros and cons of each

I haven’t but CA only has Hogsmeade. FL has Diagon Alley too, which is bigger and even more impressive.

Holkywood’s Hippogriff has different restraints than Florida. It’s basically the Gringotts or Mummy lap bar out in Hollywood. My now-ex can ride it in Florida but not Hollywood. Besides that and FJ those are the only rides. I do like it in Hollywood, but I don’t go to either coast of Universal only for Wizarding World. I like the whole thing.

Oh, and unlike in Florida, they don’t care if you pour firewhiskey in your frozen butterbeer. Which is a tasty, but expensive, treat.

I live in California and have annual passes for universal in Cali. That said I’ve been going to universal Orlando every time I go to Orlando since 2002. We went the year Harry Potter opened in Orlando and we were blown away, we patiently waited for Hollywood to get ours open. The differences are there sort of.....forbidden journey is the same, flight of the hippogriff is the same ride. In wholethe area is more compact, as universal California only has the one park. I know they plan to expand, but right now it’s just those 2 rides and a few shops and a restaurant in hogsmede. Orlando is much more ahead with the Harry Potter theming and rides.

It's as bad as Space Mountain being called Space Mountain in each park with Space Mountain. Different rides, at least from DL to MK (not sure about the intl ones or if they even have it!). You think you're going to get the same experience, but nope.

Yes, the DL Space Mountain is superior in every way.

As far as Wizarding World, the Orlando one is way better. Especially if you have the park hopper to take the train from one zone to the other. Hollywood only has Hogsmeade and it feels more compact than Orlando. The rides are the same. They say Hollywood is expanding but I have no idea where they'll find space without removing existing stuff.

Disneyland Paris Space Mountain is fantastic!

I’ve only tried wdw/Paris SM and the Paris one is far superior to Orlando.

I dont even ride space mountain at MK. Too jerky, there is no "'chips ahoy cookie" Not as long. I will take Disneyland over MK any day. Didnt quite feel the magic. As far as Universal in California, last time I went was in the 70's so I cant compare.
