The steroids found in his home were PRESCRIPTION for a neck injury, not illegal. Did you read that.
Once again I don't care if he was on every illegal drug out there, if thats what caused him to go crazy we need to know. If it was really illegal drugs then we need to crack down more. This still has NOTHING to do with the WWE. Vince McMahon is very STRONGLY against Steroid Use.
While they were PRESCRIPTION anabolic steroids BUT just because he obtained them legally for a medical procedure doesn't mean that they couldn't have had a negative effect on him. Prescribed or not, they are still a controlled substance. People get addicted to legal prescribed medications all the time.
And we know that ALL Drs are completely ethical and would never prescribe a controlled substance to someone who was abusing it.
However, I think there was something much more going on and they will conclude that the steroids didn't play a significant part. He didn't kill his wife and child out of rage. She was bound and he was smothered in his bed. It wasn't a fight that got out of hand. Unfortunately this was no accident.
My great uncle was a body builder and professional wrestler many years ago and was part of that culture until his death and I worked for (the then) WCW and Monday Nitro/RAW. 10 years ago, steroid use was common in the up and comers but many used legal enhancement products that can also create problems if you combine/used incorrectly. Not all that stuff is 100% safe.
I will say again though, that there has to be deeper issues going on here.
