So glad to find this thread.

I joined WW 6 weeks ago today. I weighed in this morning with a -3.2 for a total of -20.6 ! I would like to lose 44 more pounds.

I feel really good about myself. I don't really see a change but I feel the change . I don't get so tired as easy and I feel like I have more pep in my step.

Good luck to everyone :cheer2:

Welcome! Great job! That is an awesome job so fast! Keep it up and you'll see it soon!

Miss Missy, I received an card in the mail inviting me to join a three week fitness study. I paid a refundable $20 deposit and had to participate in Curves a minimum of three times a week for three weeks. They did my weight, body fat and blood pressure at the start of the study and again after the 21 days. The data they collected will be sent to John Hopkins institute to be included in a fitness study they are conducting. At the end of the study I was offered a membership for $49 plus monthly fees. Since I decided to join they applied my $20 deposit to the membership and I paid the difference. So far I am really enjoying it, my only complaint is that they aren't open on Sunday. It is great that you are such an inspiration to your DD. Keep up your great work!

Wow cool study! Yes I too am like :confused3 about Sundays, so many people work all week and the weekends are their time to do this stuff, the hours are weird for sure all week too!!

They have a new machine thing coming that looks great too. It is a state of the art machine that will tell you if you are working the right muscle and at the right power for what your own personal goal is. Not all places are getting it, they have to meet guide lines, but mine in approved :cool1: Have you heard of it?

Hi all!
Ok I finally got off my duff and joined ww!!! I'll check in next Monday to spill how my 1st week went! My DSiL joined a week before me and lost 5 lbs the first week! Definate encouragement!!

I agree about Sunday's, I would love if they had a couple of hours Sunday afternoon from like 1-5, that would be great. I also wish they would stay open until 8pm, it would be a lot more convenient for those who work fulltime. I heard about the new equipment and was told our location will have it within 6 months. Will be interesting to check it out.

 fofinia! Have missed "seeing" you around. Staying the same is frustrating, but the good thing is that it isn't a gain. Hang in there, make one little change each week until you see the scale moving again. After 4 weeks of maintaining you probably need to drop a point or two each day. Good luck.

:welcome: Karen!! Good luck on your first week.

I weighed in today and was up 1 pound this week. Not surprised after 2 really good weeks. I had a first communion party on sat and did watch myself a little, but definitely ate more than my points, and the last 2 nights, and tonight, I just can't get enough to eat. I've been really good during the day, and once my son goes to bed, I'm scouring the kitchen for food. I need to break the cycle, and get on the stick. Tomorrow my son has t-ball practice, so I will eat a late supper, and maybe I'll try to scrapbook so I can't eat. The weather has been beautiful and I've been walking and biking so that has helped. I'm going to check in tomorrow, and hope to have stayed within my daily points.

karenTX-:welcome: good luck to you. You and your sil will be great support for each other.

fofinia-Staying the same is definitely better than gaining, but very frustrating week after week, I know. Good luck with the low sugar plan.

Boston5602-:welcome: and congratulations on your awesome weight loss so far!!!!

drgnfly30- Whoo hoo!!:thumbsup2 great loss!!

disneymac-:welcome: Sounds like you're off to a great start. I definitely recommend using the flex points, and often use them on the bad things that help me feel satisfied.

mmcguire-Awesome first week!!!!:woohoo: keep up the great work!!

tiggerlover-Wonderful job maintaining!!!! :cool1: three weeks til lifetime!!!! Weigh to go!!!!

Daisy- Congrats on your loss!! :thumbsup2

harvest02- Sorry you had a gain this week. I'm right there with you, hoping to reverse it next week. Good luck.

Good luck everyone!!

Congrats disneymac! My WI is tomorrow!

Ok can anyone answer this question...
I exercise everyday add the new points which are between 5 and 12. But I never eat even close to those points...or the 35 weekly points... is that still ok ? I still eat my reg 20 points.

Ann:cool2:

Had my WI on Monday. Lost another 1.8 pounds for a total of 24.8 pounds. SOOO close to that 25 pound mark...next week though :)

Hope everyone is having a great week. Congrats to all the 'losers'

Ok so on the 25th of April I decided to weigh myself at work because my scale at home is so tiny and has the little little lines between the weights that I can't really read when I'm on it. At home my scale said 160 which was bad, bad :sad2: AT WORK one scale said 170, the balancing kind said 170:eek: the digital one said 165 I will go with that weight.

So on the 4th of May I weighed in at 162.6 on the digital scale.

Today I weighed myself and I am down to 160. something I had to jump off before one of the patients walked by lol So that means I am down a total of almost 5 lbs.

I am not doing ww online or meetings, cant get to the meetings every week because of my schedule. I am trying to follow the points system on my own, not always counting but just trying to eat chicken, fish salads, veggies, etc. I have to add up my points from yesterday still. But I am drinking lots of water and cut down on my double double coffees, cut out the chips, and eating low fat popcorn.

The biggest difference I find is that I have started eating breakfast and a snack then lunch, then snack then dinner and snack. I used to only eat lunch and dinner. I find if i don't eat b-fast or snack I am starving soon after and want to pig out.

YEAH!!!

Now I have to go add my points for today and yesterday.:yay:

5 down; 40 to go

Steph

Hi all!
Had my weigh in today and I am down 1.8 - that's a total of 8 lbs since I started WW 3 weeks ago! Yay! I hope I can keep it up.

OK, I was wondering if anyone else does this....I have been "hoarding" my points all day until late afternoon...then I have lots of points left to eat in the evening. I know that's probably not a great habit to get into, but somehow that's the way it's been going. I guess I am always afraid that I will be "out of points" by dinner time!

I have Bunco this Friday and I am a little concerned about being tempted...I do plan on saving my points for that though! Gotta have a couple beers and a few chips!

Overall though, this is the most motivated I've ever been to lose weight! I can do it!!!:cool1:

{{{{HUGS}}} Mik. I am sorry you had a gain this week. You know something I have noticed, and I don't know if it is a woman thing or not, (my girlfriends have noticed too), but there are just two weeks out of the month that our eating seems to increase and we experience a slight gain. I take BC and I can guarantee that the second week of my pills I will always be hungry and just can't satisfy myself. Not sure if it applies to all, but I have noticed a trend here.

disneymac, luckywife, brighteyes and Andrea_loves_Disney, congrats on your losses.

Bareacuda, I usually do not eat my exercise points, but I usually do eat my 35 flex. The way my leader explained it was that the flex points are there for a reason and a good portion should be utilized. And from my experience and that of some of my friends, it make a difference when you eat those points. My one friend was always eating her exercise points and she was struggling to lose, she stopped eating them and started losing. So it is worth giving it a try for a week or two to see what happens for you.

Thanks for the info... I didnt do as well as I expected only .4 loss. So I'll give the 35 points a bit of a "work out":rotfl:
My leader said to eat all my points too and not skip to a lower #. I have no idea what happened, but I didnt eat all my points every day. Perhaps that's why I didnt lose as much as I thought I would.

Thanks again...
Ann

Ann, even though it wasn't what you expected, .4 is still a loss. You really need to eat ALL of your allotted for the day, the 35 are the optional and even those you should eat a portion of. Good luck experimenting, I hope you find something that works for you.

Had my WI tonight and much to my surprise I lost 1.4 pounds this week. I guess Curves is making a difference. Two more weeks of maintenance until I reach lifetime, I can't believe I am almost there. This will be a rough week so I have to try and stay focused. Tomorrow night I am hosting a Cinco De Mayo party and then Sunday DH and DS is taking me out for Italian for Mother's Day....oh my!

Had my WI tonight...and much to my surprise, I lost .8(almost 1 whole pound). I have been stuck at the same weight for like 2 weeks, but my body fat has gone down 3%. I weighed myself this morning and according to that I had stayed the same as last week. But, I do my WW WI at night, and lo and behold, it said I lost almost a pound! Go figure! I was happy with that. That makes 7.5 pounds total!!!!:cool1: :cool1: :cool1: MY DH also lost 2 more pounds, and that makes a total of 12 for him. We are doing great on this WW thing, hopefully we can keep going! WW is telling me that my 10% goal is 14 pounds, which would make me 5'7" and only 129 pounds. I talked to my WW leader tonight, and she said that I didn't have to go that low if I did not want to. As long as I have lost 5 pounds(which I have) then I can set a goal, get there, maintain for 6 weeks, then become the lifetime member. I think I will give it a few more weeks to see if I can lose some more. Then I will set my goal.

Hi all!

Mikamah, I'm sorry you were up this week. So glad you've been able to get outside and enjoy all this great weather though. I got rollerblades a month ago and haven't broken them in yet. Soon...

Disneymac and luckywife, Congratulations!! Over a pound in a week is great! I'm always psyched with a lb or more!! Keep it up!

Brighteyes, Welcome! and congrats on your weight loss so far. I laughed when you said you jumped off the scale when a patient walked by. I'm always trying to weigh myself at the kid's Dr.'s appts. And always afraid that I'll get "caught"! Keep up the great work!

Andrea, I'm a point hoarder as well. I think if it's working for you then keep doing it. For me, I've been trying to change it up a bit. I read one of the success stories on the WW website and a lady was saying that she was plateauing for a while and she realized that she had to increase her breakfast to 6 points! That is hard for me. And she had some dairy at breakfast as well. And she broke through. But keep doing what's working for you. And know you are definitely not alone!

Tiggerlover! What has happened to you? 1.4 in a week! You are amazing. Something in your body just clicked huh? I'm so happy for you that you will hit Lifetime!

Harvest, so glad your DH is still doing WW with you. I remember you saying he was struggling. And you are both doing so well. Have fun deciding on a goal weight!

As for me, I'm down .4 this week. I'm happy, except tomorrow my family and I are headed to Hershey, PA, the sweetest place on earth! I'm really excited. I've never been. But I have a feeling the .4 will be back on next week!

Good luck everyone! Have a wonderful weekend!

I think it is Curves. I lost the last 20 or so pounds without exercise and now that I am exercising I guess my body is responding in kind. I am now below goal, which is exactly where I want to be. If I could lose another 2-4 pounds I would be comfortable staying there.

Congrats on your loss....every loss is a great one!

Harvest, congrats to you and your DH on your losses as well.
