Well I weighed in today. Being's that I was up 4.0 pounds last week because of that TOTM I was really frustrated. But I lost most of it this week. I am down 3.4 pounds, which I am very happy with. I go to the doctor on Monday so I am hoping he will be pleased that I am trying hard to loose the weight. I am diabetic and I want to get off the medicines that I am on. So now I am back down to 11.2 pounds that I have lost. YIPPEE!!! Keep up the good work all of you.

Hi All...
Been MIA for a few days... had family come to town.:scared1: Good news/Bad news... Bad news.. we ate out a few nights:sad2: Good news is I still lost another 1.4  Total loss is 3.4:woohoo: Not bad for my second week. Now that family is gone and Im back paddling, I should be able to get more off easier.
I decited tonight coming back from Las Vegas.. every WI morning, we are walking the park with 2 of the DGDs. Hey... what the heck... entertain the girls and walk off the weight!:yay:

Congrats to all the lost this week and to the ones who didnt... I know you can take it off in no time.

Ann

I weighed in this morning and I lost 2 pounds!:cool1: I really needed a loss this week- this weekend there's a lot going on- my birthday was yesterday, so we're going out to dinner tonight, having my fmaily over tomorrow to celebrate, and then I have a bridal shower on Sun., so I'll be eating a lot! I'm going to try not to go overboard, but I'm also going to enjoy myself, so my goal for this week is just to maintain. Congrats to all of the losers this week- keep up the good work!:cheer2:

Congratulations Joann!! 2lbs is wonderful! Keep it up!!

Thanks Mikamah and Tiggerlover! Mik, thanks for sharing your numbers. I'm about 20lbs away from the top end of WW goal. My ticker is getting me to 150lbs. I felt that was a reasonable goal for me and then we'll see how I feel IF I ever get there!! And Tiggerlover, I do take my measurements. In the last 2 months I've lost 1/2 inch off my belly.Which is good for not having lost any weight. I am glad I take measurements, my totals from last year are over 26inches off of my body. It definitely gives me something real to grasp onto.

Congratulations Tiggerlover for getting 1.8lb off! That's awesome. So you are back at WW goal? So as long as you stay there or lose you will be able to finish maintenance and go Lifetime? I'm so excited for you!!

Harvest, sorry you didn't lose. I always try to be happy enough with maintaining. It's hard sometimes when you really want to lose. You'll definitely do it next week!

Daisy!!! Yay!!! I know it was hard for you last week, and I'm so happy you were able to lose most of the weight! TOM or not 3.4 in a week is great!!! Good luck at the DR's.

Bareacuda, 1.4 and you had company and you ate out? Not bad at all! Way to go! Sounds like a good idea to get the kids out and walk with you. I did it yesterday. Up and down the street. A couple of times running to keep up with them!

Kjo, Congrats as well! Everyone is having awesome numbers this week! Our leader always talks to us at holidays and such and recommends a goal of maintaining. She encourages us to remember that it's the loss over the lifetime not in each week that counts. That way you don't feel deprived at special occasions. I myself had a baby shower last weekend and had a piece of cake. I really wanted it and if I hadn't had it then I would've felt totally jipped. Good luck!!

Have a great weekend everyone!!

fofinia, I am at the top end of goal too, actually a little over because I have a doctor's note. I am glad to see you do tape your measurements, it sometimes makes a big difference when the scale doesn't move. As for my current status, I am .2 over goal, which is within maintenance, but I still want to get the other 2.2 off for cushion.

Congrats to all our losers and {{hugs}} for anyone struggling.

Wi today down 2.4 for a total of 13.8 in 10 weeks

Congrats to everyone for this week, great job! Whether a loss, same of gain, you are still working hard and it will pay off in the end!

The meeting was a good one, talking about the time it takes to get our weight off and keep it of. Anything up to 1 lbs a week is reasonable. Talked about long term and how this isn't a quick fi move on type deal. I loved the topic!

A GUY was there, week 1 and he lost 13 lbs!!!!!!!! Geesh MEN! LOL :lmao:

Keep up the good work everyone. I don't have time to respond to everyone, but I do read all the post! CONGRATS to everyone!!

Mis Missy... cute "man" story.
At WW on Wednesady a guy sitting behind me said to the group that he lost over 30 lbs since Feb 14th... but gained 9lbs last week ! YUP 9 lbs!!! He blamed it on his friends he hasnt seen in 2 years! They ate everything. He also said he'll lose the weight on the way home to Washington, and will be back in 18months to see his friends again. But will leave the weight with his friends.

I dont want to gain much weight while on vacation in 4 months....3 weeks on the Magic. I know it might/ will happen. Ouch!:headache:

Ann

Congrats Miss Missy on your loss this week, that is awesome!

Wow, Bareacuda, he gained 9 pounds in one week.......he must have ate a ton of food! I can't even imagine. And remember for vacation you are in charge of your destiny, so you can controll how much you gain or lose on your cruise. We had a WW member go on a cruise and she ended up losing 1.8, so it can be done. (Although I am the first to admit it would be hard). Maybe splurge a little and plan a little, three weeks is a nice long vacation.

He said his diet was beer and pizza with the guys!:lmao: I can see it now... hanging out at Pizza Hut for hours!

We have planned for the excurtions alot of walking and snorlking trips. Plus on sea days we're walking the ship every morning. I just want to maintain or best... lose on the trip.

Ann

Had my first WW weigh-in yesterday, and I need to lose about 85 lbs. I'll post next week's weigh in on Sat!

WI today and am down 2.4!! It was harder to stay within my points this week, but I made it, and today I'm feeling really motivated to do good this week. I haven't had more than 2 good weeks in a long time, so I'm pushing for 3.

mmcguire:welcome: This is a great board to find inspiration and support. Good luck this week!!

drgnfly30- Congratulations!!! You're over 10 pounds!!:cool1:

Bareacuda- Three weeks vacation sounds like heaven!:cloud9: I'm sure you're developing healthy habits that will show up on vacation. I find now when I go out, I always think points and I just can't order certain things. Vacations are so special you deserve some splurges. It's after the vacation to get right back on track and any gain will be lost soon after.

miss missy- Whoo hoo!!!!!:thumbsup2 Congrats on your great loss!!!!! Wow, 13 pounds in one week is unbelieveable.

fofinia- Wow, 26 inches is impressive. I've never taken measurements, but sounds like it definitely gives you motivation when the scale doesn't move fast enough. Maybe I'll measure now, if I can find my tape measure. (my son was fishing with it recently so it could be anywhere.) Good for you for having the cake. I find if I want really something and deprive myself of it, later on I'm binging on other stuff that never satisfies that original desire. It's a never ending battle. But we will win!!!!

KJo719-congratulations!!! :thumbsup2 Great attitude to maintain through your challenges. Hope you had fun weekend.:bday:

Bareacuda- congrats!!! Sounds like you made smart choices when you went out to still have a great loss!! Weigh to go!!:thumbsup2
daisy2-Congrats on your loss. You did awesome lose it right away. It seems I can gain in no time, but it takes weeks to lose it back. Keep up the great work.

Harvest02- Maintaining is definitely better than gaining, and you'll see a loss next week. Keep up the great work.:woohoo:

tiggerlover- Awesome job, girl!!!!!!! You are our Goal Leader, and soon will be lifetime wwer!!!!! keep up the great work!!!

Keep up the fantastic work one and all!! We can do it!!!!!:cheer2:

Hello all!! This is my first check in on this thread so HI! :wave2:
My 2nd weigh in at WW is Wednesday. I am doing great so far staying OP but mentally I already feel a bit ...well, down. I keep telling myself I can do this and it's something I have wanted to do for so long...but I find myself so focused on what I get to eat next....I am thinking about food way too much. I guess after a few weeks maybe I will get over that feeling! I hope!! Also, I am wondering - do you use those extra 35 pts every week? I have not so far - I assume your loss will be slower if you use those points every week...??? I am glad to know they are "there" in case I need them, which I know I eventually will, but I am trying not to so far. Just wondered what anyone's thoughts are on that.
Thanks for listening to me! I'm going to try and stick around here for a long time!!!

Wow, sounds like everyone is having / had a great week last week and weekend, for the most part. Nice to see!! Congrats to all and welcome to the latest WISHers!!!

I am still battling the dreaded stomach flu, but the good news is....(drumroll please.......) I have lost a ton of weight!! I started WW just over two weeks ago and am now into my third. I have lost 12 pounds, according to my scale. I am just like the pizza and beer guy that miss missy mentioned!! Too bad it is all a "fake" loss. You would think for the amount of pain I have suffered the past week the weight loss would be my reward. Cie la via, I guess. I will hopefully hold on to some of that loss. I am still eating very little right now and certainly not properly, like fruits and veggies. My tummy just can't handle it.

Any suggestions for things that would be gentle on the tummy, yet give me some nutrients etc...?

You are all the best. Have a great week!!

Suz

My again, I wanted ask everyone what they preferred to use, butter or margarine and why? I don't use a lot of either, but I am told butter is better for you and I always thought it was higher in fat etc... Opinions please??

Also, anyone here drink Crystal Lite? How do you count it or is it free?

Much thanks, Suz

:welcome: Andrea!! Congratulations for joining WW. You sound like you have a winning attitude and that will help you reach your goal. It's so hard not to think about food all the time, but planning definitely helps. I have found that the weeks I used most or all of my 35 flex points I tend to lose more weight then when I hardly use any (which I haven't done in a very long time). I think they help boost your metabolism, and for me, mentally I need them every week so I don't feel deprived and then go on a binge. The big thing that helps me is journalling. I try to journal every week, and even if I have used up the 35 fps, and am still eating, if I write it down, I don't spiral completely out of control. Once i stop tracking what i eat, I know I eat way more than usual. This is a great thread for inspiration and support. Good luck to you. You can do it!!:cheer2:

pl'smama- sorry you've been sooo sick, but glad you and your little one are starting to better. What a lousy way to lose weight. Hope you can keep most of it off.
Crystal Lite is free, I think it's only 5 calories. If it's caffeine free it can count toward your daily water intake too.
For food gentle on the tummy, I think of the BRAT diet patient with stomach bugs get. It stands for bananas, rice, applesauce, and toast. Cream of wheat comes to mind as a mild food too, and has a little more nutrition. Plain chicken is all I can think of with protein.
I try to use olive oil instead of butter when I can, like in rice dishes, pasta. On toast I use promise light, and i use real butter for baking. I have heard that margarine is worse for you than butter, but I don't know the reasoning behing it. Hope your back in the swing soon.

drgnfly30, congrats on your loss! Keep up the great work!:woohoo:

:welcome: mmcguire. We look forward to your contributions to the boards.

Mik, two awesome weeks, you go girl! Your hard work is paying off big time, I knew you could do it!!:cool1:

Andrea_loves_Disney, :welcome: The first couple of weeks are a period of adjustment, you are literally learning a new way of life. As for the flex points I have to second what mikamah said, the points are there for a reason and I have better success when I eat them than when I don't. I may not always eat them all, but I usually eat a good portion of them.

pl'smama, sorry to hear you are still battling the bug, it is rough. 12 pounds is still 12 pounds, congrats on your loss to date.:yay: As for the butter, I am not a butter eater, I prefer I Can't Believe It Is Not Butter - Light. And I do liek crystal light every now and then too. It is free for the first few glasses, a friend told me if you drink too much of it in a day you will have to count the points for it, but I haven't confirmed that.

Keep up the great work one and all! Onward and downward we go! We CAN do this.

Thank you ladies, not only for the encouraging words but the bit about butter and Crystal Lite.

Mikmah and tiggerlover, you are both so kind and I appreciate it. It is nice to feel so warm and fuzzy when I (we ) are facing such a huge journey.

Welcome Andrea and Mccguire!! This place is the best for motivation and a shoulder to cry on!!

Suz

My weigh-in yesterday went really well. I lost another 3.2 pounds for a total of 23 pounds total in 8 weeks! :) I made it to my first 10% goal and received my bronze keychain.

pl'smama-sorry to hear you're under the weather. Hope today finds you feeling much better.

Congrats to all the other 'losers' :)

Good afternoon,
I'm so glad I found this thread. I looked at my 35 additional points as mistake points, like forgiveness if I screwed up!! I have even been working to not use my whole daily point count. Guess I need to get over that mindset!!

Thank you for the info. My first weigh (I set my date for friday) was only 3 days after I started so there was no change. But at day 5 when I secretly stepped on the scale it was down 4 pounds. So i'm hoping to have a good weigh in on Friday when i do it "officially".

Thank you!!
tara
