WW Weekly Weigh-in

I gained a SHOCKING 5 pounds this week. I knew I ate a few bad things but didn't think it was 5 pounds worth. I've at least learned I will forever have to WATCH what I eat. So, now instead of 14 to lose I'm back to 19. I'm back on track and counting everything. I am also going to start making sure exercise is important and not slacking off there. My goal is to loss the 19 by my birthday in April - doable if I keep my head in it. Then I will be goal weight! Wish me luck!

Didn't have that good of a week. I only lost .8 pounds. I guess its better than gaining though. But I've been pretty stressed this week and just not being as good as I should. Im back on track today though and plan to really be good this week.

Welcome to frndshpcptn, MJ Girl and gypsydoodle! And congrats on your losses!

KJo.. I know you've left all ready for the world. But congrats on your loss. Hope you have a great time.

knovak, I'm sorry you are up. Hopefully you will be able to flush it all out with lots and lots of water. I've had lots of times where I gained when I didn't think I should. But it usually washes out the next week. Good luck!

Congratulations Stacerita! .8 is almost a pound!

I am back from 10 days on the Dining Plan!! And at my unofficial weighin here at home I'm up 5lbs!!! Scary! I mean how many miles did I walk??? At least 2 a day. And I don't do that at home. I mean I know I'm puffy and everything but for goodness sake. I weigh in on Weds. So i have 3 days to try and drop some water weight! I'm back on track today and hopefully will not find it too hard to stay there.

Good luck everyone in your downward quest!!

My weigh in was on Friday and I was down 2.8 for a total loss of 5 lbs since January 9th.

Have a great week everyone!

I am down 1.4 today at WW and hoping to continue on the downward swing, rather than the up and down that I've been on for months. I have lost all my holiday weight, and changed my clippie to 15 pounds since joining wish. I have to stay on track so I don't have to change my clippie back.

Congrats Cinmel- awesome losses!!!!:thumbsup2

Fofinia-Welcome back. Hope you had a wonderful trip. It's too hard to stay on program on vacation. Hopefully that weight will come off quickly if you get right back on track, like you said. I"m sure some of it is water weight. Good luck at weighin this week.

Stacerita- hang in there. It's tough when the weight loss slows down, but .8 is still a loss, and you are going in the right direction. Keep up the good work.

Knovak- sorry you had such a gain, but sounds like you have the right attitude, and hope you will see that 5 pounds gone next week. I think if you gain it quickly, that it will come off quicker. Good luck this week.:cheer2:

Kjo719- congrats on the loss, and have a great trip.

I'mwong- Congrats on the great loss. :thumbsup2 I definitely eat more calories when I eat out, but it's tiring to cook every night. We go to panera a lot for soup which is pretty low point when I don't want to cook.

Mjgirl- Congrats!!! Awesome loss!!

frndshpcptn-Congrats on the great loss!!! Keep up the great work!!:cool1:

Tiggerlover- hope you are having a great week, and weighin goes well for you. You are an inspiration!!!!:woohoo:

Congrats Cinmell! 2.8 is great in one week! Keep it up!

Way to go Mikamah!! You can definitely keep sliding downwards!!

Good luck!

Tiggerlover...you are such an encouragement to all of us. You are so close to your goal and that is such a hard place to be. I get inspired just from reading your posts. You keep believing in yourself and you will get there before you know it!

For everyone else...this thread is such an inspiration to so many of us. Thanks to all of you for posting your losses and your gains. It makes me feel more inspired and supported when I read about others.:cheer2:

A great BIG CONGRATULATIONS on your 2.8 loss this week! It is always nice to have a big loss after a slight gain. I have learned eating at home makes a big difference too, but some times it is just so hard to pass up the quick fix.

Thank you for your kind words, I am happy to inspire when I can. This truly has been a journey for me and everyone here supports and inspires me as well. WISH has been a huge part of my success and I am so grateful WISH has been here for me all of these years.

Congrats KJo719 on your 1 pound loss this week, I always think a 1 pound loss is a super loss!!

knovak, one thing I have learned about having a gain is that it is a great motivator for getting on track. We are all human and slip sometimes, but if we get right back on track we are better for it.

Stacerita, you are darn right, any loss is better than again so relish losing .8, it brings you a little closer to your ultimate goal. :)

Weigh to go, mik!!! Your new clippie is mahvelous dahling!

::yes:: We can do this, one pound or one ounce at a time.

Okay, after two weeks I finally weighed in tonight and broke even. I guess after all the bad eating I did and being good this week I went up and then back to the starting point. Although I didn't gain I am a little disappointed, but I will work this week at a loss for next week.

At our meeting tonight someone pointed out, once again, that slow and steady does win the race and that the snails made it onto the ark. So if slow and steady can win the race and the snails made it to the ark you would think that I could, one of these days, put a little more effort into this and make it to goal. I am so tired of getting so close and then letting it slip away, I just need to make it to goal and stay there! I just wish food didn't have such a hold on me.

I have been sitting here for a while trying to come up with something motivating to say, but I am drawing a blank. So I will wish you all a good week.

I'm back!! I joined WW online on 12-30-06. I'm really liking it. I figured with the cold weather here and it getting dark so early my best bet was online. I have to admit it's working for me. Oddly enough though, my losses have tapered off since I started exercising on 1-13-07. :confused3 I'm still exercising as I know there are benefits other than weight loss... and I have to believe my sedentary body is just in shock that I have done this EVERY morning for 19 days... and my metabolism WILL kick in here sometime.

Any feedback is appreciated!

Could be you are building muscle, as muscle weighs more than fat so you may not see the changes on the scale. Are you measuring? That is a better indicator when you are exercising to see if you are losing. Also, are you eating your exercise points? If not it is important that you do because you are burning more calories by exercising and your body needs fuel to exercise thereby your body needs a little more food to fuel itself.

Hey tiggerlover, hang in there. Glad you didn't gain, and you should see a loss next week. I wish that exercise could control us like food does. It is sooooo hard to stick with this for the long haul, and I'm sure when you are so close to goal, it's even harder. You are always an inspiration to all of us here. Stick with this and you will get there!! You can do it!!!!! And we will all follow in your footsteps to our goals too!!!!!!

Welcome back Mermaid02. Congrats on all the exercise. Are you sure you're eating enough to keep your metabolism up with the exercise? I think if you are doing a lot of exercise you should use some activity points so your body doesn't go into starvation mode and try to conserve energy. Plus you're building muscle which does weigh more than fat, so you're probably losing inches, but not weight. Good luck.

I've been journalling, but have used up all my flex points this week, plus. Tomorrow is the last day of my week, and I'm so relieved. Every night, I've needed more than my daily points, and then I feel guilty. Next week, I'm going to use 5 flex points each day, and see how that goes.

Have a great week!!!!!

Survived another weigh in and down another 3 pounds. Total weight loss is 6 pounds. :cheer2:

Hi, guys! Sorry, I'm just now catching up on the thread -- I thought nobody noticed me. I'm the one who writes for the pizza mag, BTW.

The first week was really hard -- I had a photo shoot at Old Chicago during the buffet at lunch, and the manager treated us all for lunch. I had one slice of plain cheese, one thick crust with veggie (it was their new 'za, so I had to try it since he put it on my plate!) and about two pizza rolls. Just had a salad for dinner. Our food stylist came in last Monday and fixed three pizzas, two pastas and a lasagna dish (if I remember right). I just had a slie and a half of buffalo chicken pizza. We went to an Italian restaurant to welcome our new photographer that Wednesday, but I had a salad and picked at the appetizer we ordered (a salumi platter).

LOSS FOR FIRST WEEK: 2 lbs. even :)

This week, I didn't do as good, but I wrote everything down. Went to dinner with DH's aunt and her roommate on Friday night, and had many martinis, osso bucco with homemade Kentucky grits and a chocolate cookie brownie sundae for dessert. Blew all my flex points for the next month on that meal. But I was relatively good the next week. I weighed in tonight, and:

TOTAL LOSS FOR SECOND WEEK: 3 lbs. even :cheer2: :cheer2:

I'm down five lbs. total.

Thanks, Mik.....you guys all are so great to me! I need the support just as much as the next one and it is so nice to come here to find it. The weeks our body are craving more food is so hard, hopefully it is better for you today and now you should be in your new week with new flex points. :) Good for you for journaling and being accountable, it makes a big difference.

MJGirl and gypsydoodlebug, great big high fives for your losses to date! Keep up the great work!!!

I just had to share with you all, I just discovered a new website that is for Weight Watchers support and I wanted to share. The way I found it was because I was looking for some points value for Outback and I found a treasure trove of information. So if you are interested in checking it out go to: http://www.healthdiscovery.net/restaurants/index.html. I have a lot more exploring to do on the site, but what I have found so far has been a help to me.

Hi everyone! I'm a few days late to post my weighin. I'm up 3.4lbs from my Disney trip. I knew I would be up, but I just hate facing it! I've been amazingly good this week so far and I'm really kicking up my exercising. I feel doubly motivated to get my weight moving in a quick downwards motion!!! Hopefully I will!

Congratulations tiggerlover on getting back to where you were. All good things are a struggle. you are going to lose next week.

Oh, Mikamah, why is it some weeks the points just seem to disappear out of the tracker? I've tried doing the five a day. It worked for me when I saved them as my dessert. Then I got dessert and didn't feel deprived at all. Good luck!

Congratulations MJGirl and gypsydoodle! Way to go!

And welcome Mermaid- I have also noticed that sometimes I don't lose a lot when i exercise a lot (which kind of scares me for this week, cause I'm exercising a lot!) But taking your measurements is a great way to go. I was stuck for 6 weeks bouncing around the same 2lbs. But I took my measurements before and after that and even though I wasn't down any, I had lost over 3 inches. that's cumulative inches of course. I started taking my measurements before I started WW and at this point I'm down like 24 inches total. I think it's fun to look at it that way!

Good luck everyone! Keep up the good work!!!

Welcome back fofinia! I have one question for you.....did you enjoy your Disney trip and all the yummy food? If you did than the 3.4# was worth it because it only happens once in a while and it will take you maybe a week or two of good eating to lose it. Sure we hate to gain, but this is every day life and we can't be good every single day. I am assuming you went, you ate, you enjoyed and now it is back to business!:yay: Just like you said, "all good things are a struggle."
