WW Weekly Weigh In--- Part 2

I weighed in this morning and I lost 4.6 pounds this week.:cool1: I'm so excited. Great start to the plan. I'm really motivated this time around so I hope I can reach Lifetime Membership this time.

Have a great week everyone!!!

Great loss!:thumbsup2

I've been busy as everything the past 6 days. I think I worked 75 hours all of them on my feet doing physical labor. I have no idea how many points I earned at one poine I put in 800 minutes for one day and it said I earned 45 points LOL No I did not eat them. I really tried to make good choices, it was all take out so I tried to take as much extra off every meal. Today I'm 100% back on track so I'll be interested to see what the scale shows next week.

Welcome to all our newcomers!

I've been reading over the last couple weeks posts. I need to get back on track. I was doing good but then missed a couple meetings due to dr appts and school starting. Now I need to get back to healthy eating with the kids not here. It's much easier to just nibble all day.

Last week was an ok weigh-in. I was down 1.2lbs which brought me to 29.8 total. Sooooo close to the -30 I wanted. I should have passed on the snickers bar and I'm sure I would have made it - darn AF.

I'm interested to see what the scale says come Wed

Well down 2 pounds at WI last night, now if I can just resist the munchies this week......popcorn::

I haven't checked in here or weighed in at a meeting in a while. I can definitely feel that I have gained. I started back on program today, so hopefully I'll be better about weighing in, and checking in here.

I am happy to see so many familiar names here who are still checking in. Hope to be a regular myself!

What a great loss! I can see Lifetime for you !

Nancy/Maryann - you encouraged me to NOT have Chinese food and I had a decent weigh-in, thanks!
I'm down 2 pounds, that makes 31!:yay:

Then I have done my job :surfweb:

Congrats on the 2 pounds!

I hope to get to 50 pounds by January, which is at a similar rate. Let's keep each other going!

My DD set a 50 pound goal for her Disney trip too. She is less than 1/2 pound away from the 50 and still has 3 months to go. You can do it too! Disney is a great motivator :thumbsup2

Welcome back!

This week's WI was better than last time. I lost 3 pounds so I am thrilled. I will be in CA next week but plan to call in to my DD during the meeting. I know that I will not be able to stay totally on program, heck I really won't want to, but I don't want to fall off the WW Wagontrain! I am 6.2 pounds away for goal so I really want to keep accountable.

Just came from WW. The water, popcorn and surfing DIS has paid off............down another 3lbs. That brings me to a 32.8lb loss in 20wks. Definitely the pick-me-up I've been needing :)

Mikamah - a pound a week is a great goal. I hope to get to 50 pounds by January, which is at a similar rate. Let's keep each other going! Love the planning idea, that's much more fun and gives you a purpose for staying on track. It sounds like you made some great choices over the weekend. And that is what WW is about, not to deprive yourself, but to make smart choices. And if you eat "more" then you get on track the next meal and keep it going. That is a way to lose weight and make it a lifestyle you can live with. Great job!!:woohoo:
We can absolutely keep this going. I definitely can not deprive myself, I've learned over the years. It is all about moderation and finding a balance I can live with, and sticking with it. I do so much better when I exercise on a regular basis, and I'm doing ok with that this month, but need to step it up a little.

I lost 1.5 lbs this week. Happy to see a loss. I haven't really been exercising.
I am shooting for 4-5 lbs a months.
Now I need to fix my weight loss ticker:cool1:

Wow!! That is a ton of exercise. I hope you see an awesome loss next week.

1.2 pounds is awesome!! Slow and steady is the way to go. You'll see 30 next week!

Welcome back! We all have our slips, and just coming here and posting helps keep us from snacking.

Awesome loss!!! :dance3: Enjoy your trip. I find it helpful to try and keep up with the water when I'm away, and try to stay away from fried foods, and those two things will help keep me from gaining too much. Have a great time.

Whoo hoo!!!!:cool1: That is a fabulous loss in 20 weeks. I love getting into a new decade, over 30 is great.

I had a little snacking binge during biggest loser of all things last night, but am back on track. I'm off to take a walk before my son gets home, and am making soup for dinner tonight that will last the next couple days.

Can you tell I just learned how to multiquote? It's so much easier than having to keep looking back and finding what I wanted to respond to. I just love this Dis.

Have a great day.:)

Glad to see so many losers this week. Not the case for me. Up 1 lb. Not a tragedy, but I stay on plan every day and exercise 5 days a week. I can never understand the gains when they happen. So, I'm just going to roll with it and not let it get me off track. Looking for a big loss next week. I've started running on my treadmill, so we'll see if that works.

Great job everyone! :thumbsup2

I hardly ever use the extra 35 weekly points, except for maybe 1 or 2. My question is, can you still lose weight if you use them? Frankly, I'm afraid of adding that many points to my weekly total. Just wondering about everyone else's experience.

I use my 35 points every week. I do not count my activity points though. I found that I lost more when I used the weekly points, but everyone is different. I remember when I first started, I never used the 35 thinking it would boost my weight loss, but it actually had the opposite effect...I ended up gaining or not losing anything. Once I started using the 35, my weight loss took off. I suggest you experiment with those 35 points to see what works for you.

Today was my weigh in day and I am up 3.2 from my last WI (8/13), but down 2 lbs from last week so I'm good with that ;)

Congrats to all the losers this week :cool1: and hugs to those that gained. Here's to a better week for us :grouphug:

cepmom & Leann225 -- I agree that how you use those points does vary per person. I haven't found the perfect majic for myself yet, but I do know that it varies! Good luck on your journies.

Mikamah - too funny about snacking during the Biggest Loser, proves that show can have opposite effects! I started off the day really well but went downhill fast, ugh! Tomorrow's a new day tho.

Lovegoing2Disney - that is fabulous!! I'm so glad that your weight loss is continuing. Way to stick with it!

Nancyg56 - Wow on being so close to goal! That is wonderful. I hope you have a great trip to Cali. I'm sure some wise choices mixed with some yummy food and walking will be just fine for your weight loss!

NCredding - good luck getting back on track.

Peiforever, good job keeping the weight loss going.

Mary Ann - that is a lot of work at your job! Goodness girl! How'd WI go?

I started off my day well, even took a Zumba class, but somehow went downhill this evening (the Nachos really did me in!). Tomorrow's a new day so I'll get back at it. I am so close to losing the amount of weight that my toddler weighs, that's a huge motivator. It allows me to see and feel the weight loss.

I generally use my points. The week before last I did not use even half and gained 1.8. My leader told me to use them and this week I was down 3. I know that there are all kinds of reasons for fluctuations in weight but I do think eating your points helps.

Thank you all for your vacation tips! I don;t want to eat fries and that kind of thing. I am a fast food junkie and if I have any I am afraid I'll backtrack to all my old habits.

Well, this is very interesting. It might be possible that I'm not eating enough which is shutting down my weight loss. I have been hungry since I went down to 21 points 2 weeks ago. So, maybe I'll step it up for the next week and see what happens. It will take some getting used to going over the point totals every day, but I'm willing to play with it a bit and see if it works.

Thanks to everyone that responded.

Made it through another weigh-in. I was down 1.2 lbs last week for a total of 42.2 I'll take it.

I have heard time and time again that you must eat the 35 extra points on the way down or you will be in trouble when you reach goal. I admit, I have not used them up to this point. The main reason being that I was getting so many points to start with. I think I started with something like 27. Now that I'm down to 21 I know I am going to start using them. I really think it is easier not to use them when you are in the 30 points per day range then when you are in the 18 to 20 point range. But that is just my thinking.

I am so looking forward to tomorrow and it being Friday. I am working 12 days without a day off and I am soooo looking forward to the weekend. Only 13 more days to Disney!!! I know I'll be using those 35 bonus points on vacation and you know what, if I have a gain, I have a gain. I did buy my WW oatmeal to take with me. Next week I'll pick up some WW treats. I'd love to take the one point jelly choc bars but I"m afraid they will melt on the plane. What does everyone think?

Leanne, I didn't use my pts last this week and when I went to weigh in yesterday No loss! I guess I am going to eat those points. But I am pretty new at this so I am still on the learning curve.

Congrats on the loss Maryanne:banana:

For those of you at 21 points, WOW!!! I don't know if I'll be able to survive on so few points! One day I'll get down there and join you though!

Mary Ann - congratulations on your weight loss, way to keep it going!:thumbsup2 And less than two weeks until your trip, how fabulous! I'm sure it will feel so nice to go on the rides with less weight and more wiggle room :)

I sometimes use my points and sometimes don't. For me it doesn't affect my weigh-in. Sometimes I'm just hungrier. I've found the extra are ok if I'm really hungry and it's not just a case of the munchies

Made it through another weigh-in. I was down 1.2 lbs last week for a total of 42.2 I'll take it.

Only 13 more days to Disney!!! I know I'll be using those 35 bonus points on vacation and you know what, if I have a gain, I have a gain

WTG on the loss. :yay: on 13 days to Disney

OK I had a non scale victory today that showed me that I really have lost inches.

My bras were terrible, I knew I needed new ones and I wanted to treat myself and get good ones. I also had no idea what size I am. So for the 1st time in my life, I went to Saks 5th Avenue and was measured. I know I was wearing a 42 that was TIGHT when I started the program. She measured me and I"m a 38!!! Anyway, I bought two as I figured they would get me through the next 40 lbs weight loss and then I'd invest in a couple more.

I could not believe when she said I was 38. She also suggested I stop in the slacks department and get a pair that actually fit me LOL

Sorry you saw a gain, but you have the winning attitude you need to see a loss next week.

I use all of my flex points most weeks, and then some. But when I've been strictly following ww, and really staying within my points, I found my loss was better when I ate most of the flex points. I think you need energy to keep your body fueled and the daily points aren't enough. My leader really stressed using them and corrects anyone who calls them extra points, saying they are allowance points and should be used.

I am down 1.2 this week, and happy with that since I had a few nights of over my points snacking. I'm switching back to flex, since the 35 fps on core was not enough this week, and I hope tracking everything again will help keep me on program.

Congrats to everyone who has lost, and hugs to those who maintained or gained. Dont' give up. We can do it. Have a great weekend everyone.
