Hi everyone!

For those of you on WW, if you exercise, do you calculate activity points you may have earned? If so, do you use the activity points? Can you bank activity points?

I log the points I have earned in my journal, but so far I haven't used any of them. I just feel like I will lose faster if I don't use those points. I'm not sure if they can be banked or not.

Technically, activity points are supposed to be added to your base points.

If you're in the 18-23 points per day range and you earn 2 activity points, your range for the day becomes 20-25 -- so you are supposed to use at least 20 points that day; you can still bank up to the other 5.

It's really a matter of how you interpret it all -- whether the points you're banking are activity points or not. But the idea is to increase the number of points you consume to compensate for your activity.

I wonder if this will all change with the new program starting August 17?

I was just wondering about this myself ... I usually earn about 4 points a day. I eat some of them because I'm hungry my workout but I sort of like saving them as well.

Thanks for the clarification Disneyaholic! I was going to speak to my leader today but I didn't have time to stay after the meeting.

Thanks! That's what I was thinking. I figured if you are exercising more and increasing your metabolism then you should eat more for energy and to give your metabolism something to break down.

I calculate my activity points on the day that I earn them, however, if I don't use them on that day then I do not bank them.

I'm doing WW online, and the computer does allow banking of activity points. I'm in the 20-25 range and if I earn 4 activity points and only use 20 food points in a day I can bank up to 9 points that day. I always do bank them, but I hardly ever use them. I just like knowing that they're there just in case.

Okay guys here's one more question. If you do WATP, do you consider that moderate or high activity? I've been doing the 3 mile and I would consider that high.

Help me out! I have been doing weight watchers on my own. I had done weight watchers a long time ago when you would basically get 1 point for 15 minutes of workout. Since I am doing it on my own, I have no clue how to earn activity points. I would love it if someone would post information on how it now works. I am exercising a lot but have no clue how to get some "credit" for it. :D

Thanks to anyone who could help me out!

Jen

Cindy,
I consider the WATP tapes to be moderate for myself. :)
