I was just there from 9/24 to 10/1. We have gone several times during a similar time frame. Crowds weren't too bad leading up the Ian, and Friday after wasn't too bad in Epcot. Saturday (10/1) was crazy busy in MK, with hour long waits within 45 mins of park open. Went to Epcot in the afternoon, and it was busy but I expected that with the 40th. Still not as bad as MK though.

I was surprised to see them, but mostly because we've never seen them during this week before. Although I think we've seen them pretty much every other month we've visited, so I shouldn't be surprised to see a group or two any time of year!

And seriously, I wish my parents would have taken me out of school for a WDW trip! Would have loved visiting WDW outside of school break, can't imagine how low the crowds would have been in the fall back in the day when I was in school!

And on top of missing School,they get to go to a whole other Country and some go to NYC,Miami and the Bahamas in addition to Orlando.

Pretty SWEET time for a 15 year old!!!!

Oh really? I had no idea they went to other places as well. I'm definitely jealous, while I can't complain about my childhood, I would have loved to have explored the world more back then. That sounds like a pretty awesome trip for some lucky 15 year olds!

From our experience, MK crowds were very light on 9/27 (day before Ian). HS was nutso as usual on 9/30, and MK was back to normal on 10/1.

I think most of the Tours are just the Orlando area(Disney World,Universal,Sea World,Busch Gardens),but we were on a Bus with a large group of 15s from Brazil in July one year and several of them had on New York Yankees hats.

We commented on their hats and they nonchalantly said they had been to NYC before coming to Orlando and next they were going to Miami Beach and then to the Bahamas before returning to Brazil.

They said their Tour would last 20 days!

And yes,our jaws did drop!!!!lol
