I need to write a CV to submit to a few hospitals when applying for elective rotations. I have one from a year ago, which I am planning to update, but the one I submitted a year ago was basically a formality for a program I was doing, which had more spots than applicants, so I'll admit I didn't put much thought into it.

Anyway, I'm looking at it, and all I have is my job experience, my education, and leadership experience. Can I also add a heading of skills and qualifications under it, and state that I'm fluent in Russian? I'm also near fluent (conversational, I guess) in French. Should I list that as well, or only Russian since that's my only other fluent language, besides English. I feel like it would be silly to list English as a language, but some people have told me I should. Also, should I add that I've got my certification in BLS, ACLS, passed infection control courses and HIPAA course? Or is that again stating the obvious, since I think every medical school in the country requires it?

Also, how long should it be? Right now, it's a bit over a page, and will probably go to a page and a half if I add my languages and certificates. Do I need to play with fonts and borders to get it to 1 page?
