I teach 2nd grade and our last reading/writing unit for the year was on Fairy Tales. As a fun culminating activity I'd like my students to write a letter to their favorite Disney FT character. Does anyone know if Disney still sends a postcard in return to kids who write to them? I don't want to get their hopes up by telling them they'll receive a reply over the summer….

I did this with my students the past two years when we were working on friendly letters. I put all of their letters with my own into a big envelope and mailed it to Disney. We got back an envelope full of postcards and a letter from Mickey Mouse. :)

We just did this in March for our DisneySide party. While all the kids wrote to different characters, each kid received a postcard from the fab 5.

So yes, they do get a postcard. In our case, it was not from whom they wrote to, but it was still super fun to get Mickey Mail!!:)
