The parade aired at 9am CT and we watched it all. There wasn't much to it as the parade seemed REALLY short. Seeing the other Disney parks around the world celebrate Christmas was kinda nice though.

I am sorry those that wished to see it were not able to, but I have to agree, this one was a huge disappointment, between Regis selling his new CD to all the other product plugs, it just did not have that warm fuzzy feeling.

In fact I thought Regis and Kelly did their worst job too, they seemed to really be having to rely on thier cue cards, no feeling in their commentary.

It was almost like they felt like they had been there; done that; and were bored.

It ran as scheduled here in Atlanta, but the merchandising and marketing efforts seemed a little forced and poorly timed. Who cares if Regis has a Christmas album or if Toy Story has a DVD coming soon!

Come on ABC, don't mess up our Christmas tradition by making the parade seem cheap.

Overall though, I did enjoy myself. Marketing is ok when done with taste, but this year's sales pitch seemed a little forced and out of place.

The TV Guide says it would be on at 10 am on ABC. I skipped church to watch it and some news thing was on here in Knoxville! What a bummer.

we got it here in louisville thanks to me emailing the local abc station to death. they couldn't play it on abc but it was on channel 24 here at 10 am. i dont think to many people say it here. at least i got to tape it. merry christmas to all

It was on here in Cincinnati at 10am on WCPO..I didn't get to see much because the door bell rang but I thought Regis and Kelly did ssem a little bored and I REALLY wanted to get Kelly's hair out of her face. Her eyes didn't even look open...Loved seeing the park again it's been so long since we were there...

The Watertown, NY affiliate ran it, but it didn't come on until well after 10am.

It was great to see... sorry for folks who couldn't watch! There was a nice preview of Expedition Everest!!!!

It did not show this morning on our ABC affiliate WBBJ Jackson, TN. All they showed was clips from a local church service and then joined the basketball game already in progress. I already sent them a nasty email. I am so dissapointed! We just got back from WDW last week and I was looking forward getting a few glimpses of the parks to help me get over the "just got back blues"

It was on at 10am in the Detroit area. I agree about Regis and Kelly (Kelly in particular seemed pretty bored and lackluster)

Some nice ride previews and shots, some nice entertainment and very little parade (and lots of commercials for DVC and the 50th Anniv)

Well I emailed my local station and said "shame on you" to them. Sorry but an infomercial instead? All of those that said the parade wasn't as good as past ones or other comments, at least you got to see it to critique it, lol....Some of us didn't have that privilege. Oh well. At least I got to see the real Christmas parade in MK at the MVMCP weeks ago and that was awesome. We were just looking forward to keeping the TV viewing of the parade a tradition. Looks like we need a new tradition seeing as our ABC affiliate wants to play Scrooge!

I wrote to our local station before coming onto DIS. I am upset...I had been hyping it up w/my four year old after all of the advertising, etc. It was even advertised on a special page of the Boston Globe...and what did we get at 10:00 Patriots all access...at least it wasn't an infomercial like some.
I'll have to go onto TIVO and punch it in to see if it will be on in the middle of the night sometime. I have already checked up to about 10pm.

Ok. for those of us in the Boston, NH area.. I just tivo'd the parade and it is on channel 5 (abc) and 9 (that's what the nh abc comes up for me on tivo) at 3:05am...yes in 10 hours it will be on. So, set those vcrs or tivo it and watch it tomorrow...a little late for a christmas parade. Maybe they are thinking they can get away from it, because tomorrow is the monday holiday

Incidently, we're discussing this on another discussion board -- one pretty-much completely devoted to television. What someone there pointed out is that there is substantially less holiday programming this year as compared to previous years. Apparently, it's not just the Disney Christmas Parade that hasn't been performing well-enough to warrant a prime place in the program schedule.

I don't think that's the only reason. Patriots All Acess isn't even in the top 25 for syndicated programs, yet that's what WCVB decided to air.
