I thought that VGC was supposed to sell out almost as soon as it was offered since it was so few units. I could add on 50 points at $96 a point now. Should I? Could it get even better? What do you think is going on?
I agree that it's an amazing deal.... but I'm beginning to come around to Jim's perspective on the impact of the economy on prices . New points (GCV, AKV, SSR) hovering right around 90 now.

That makes sense, especially for buyers that live in California. We plan to buy enough points to stay in a 2bdr for a week once every three years. Even though we may only go to DL & DCA 4 days, we will make VGC our homebase and visit a few other theme parks too. I can't see a yearly trip for us though (like WDW will be.) That's my midwest perspective FWIW!
I think it has more to do with the high point chart. I feel they really messed up on that one. I have to purchase 130 points to be able to stay 3 nights Wed-Sat in a 1 bedroom. Its more points to stay at VGC then a MK view at BLT.....I think its crazy.
I originally purchased as a founding member but was able to rescind. But its very tempting to purchase now.
