Wow what a day (major vent)

I went to the dentist today with Cam. My report, I knew would be bad, we didnt go to the dentist as kids ( I think I went 3 times ) I need a root canal, surgery on my jaw and on and on and on...
So root canal is Monday and then the rest follows for the next 3 months.

Went to check on Cam and he has... EIGHT cavities!!!
Dentist says its week teeth and it heriditary. Sorry kids.

This will take 4 appointments to fix OMG

Made appointemnts for the girls too so we can hopefully nip this stuff in the bud with them.


I finally get home and dh says " Talked to my Sister, I guess Catherine ( his Aunt) has terminal bone cancer"


UGH Im going to BED and I dont want to hear anymore bad news today!!


Im sorry, Im just not sure I can handle any more today.

{{{HUGS}}} Robin... that does sound like one heck of a day I wish I could help make it better. Oh and a suggestion for Cam, see if you can get his teeth coated... I had the same problem and that seemed to take care of it. For the rest, I only wish you well and will keep your DH's aunt in my prayers.

Binny, I am so sorry to hear about DHs aunt. Even though death is part of life, we don't like the news when we here it.

You may ask your dentist if he can seal the girls molars. My DS had problems with the back molars because of mouth size, so the dentist sealed them and he had no cavities after that. As he got his permanent teeth, his mouth got bigger (in more ways than size) and he was able to brush better.

Hugs, sweetie. Hopefully you will be fine with the mouth stuff, too.

Thanks everyone today is starting out to be much better.


My tooth still hurts but I went to get some Vicodin so that should help.

Im on a self imposed soft food/liquid diet for awhile until I get some of this taken care of, it hurts too much to eat. The upside is I should be able to lose some weight like this lol.


I havent heard anymore about dhs aunt.

Good luck with that! I hope it all gets better! And I'm from the teeth sealing generation, it really is a wonderful thing...and dental ins covers it for kids (regardless, here it is about 11 bucks a tooth, which is worth it for cavity prevention!) I hope your root canal is as pain free as possible!!!
