WOW! Tour Guide Mike!

I hope subscribing now when our trip is not until May 2007 does not make me too much of a loser!

In 2005 I subscribed in March for an end of April trip. not much time, but I went to the meat of his site.....talked on their boards, and had a GREAT trip. (As you can see, we've been to Disney many times)

A week ago I subscribed again for our trip in April 2007! I figure this time, I'm going to have plenty of time to really read through more of his great information. I love the DIS boards...and the Unofficial Guide....but TGM was terrific too!! I don't think you'll be disappointed. Though his style of writing does take some getting use to

How are you making out? (Or have you been sucked down the swirling vortex of tourguidemike land never to be seen or heard of again!) <-- insert cackling laughter and rubbing hands in glee.

Still bored and waiting for my august charts!

I always said I would never attempt to go to WDW over the Christmas period. Well I got a really good deal to go at that time and because I know how great TGM's advice is I have decided that we will go this year. I have every confidence in him :thumbsup2

Taking the koolaid and taking the plunge to TGM...this will be our 13th trip, so doubt it will be our last, but it will be the first offsite...so will appreciate the extra help :drinking1

Are his plans helpful at all if you plan to go to a park that has EMH that day? I read the other day that EMH days are always more crowded.

Sorry folks I am just catching up on this thread so I am posting a few in a row. Someone said earlier that there are "12 TGMs" one for each month. Actually he gives day-by-day advice depending on a host of factors. So you could even say 365 TGMs. He gives specific EMH advice for each EMH. Sure there is a lot of "cut and paste" but knowing which piece of advice is appropriate for a specific day, or EMH, is priceless.

Also, He publishes specific vacation survival guides for Christmas, Spring Break and Easter.

We went over Christmas vacation, 12/23-12/31, and using TGM, we were able to see and do more than on any of our previous trips...and our motto was "NO LINES, NO WAITING". We didn't wait more than 5-10 minutes for anything. It was awesome!

I have looked at TGM before, just never bought in. Had never heard of anyone doing so until now. I have used Birnbaums and the Unofficial Guide books to plan...is it really that much beter than the unofficial guide?

YES!

The UG is published in September (I believe) for the following year, this means that not all the information is up to date.

With TGM, Mike is always updating WDW information so you'll know if something has changed before you leave home. He is at the parks almost daily so he knows what's going on!

I signed up at the beginning of January for our July trip and as some others was intimidated about all the information! I'm not an expert navigator, but I definitely know my way around the site much better!

I subscribed just today. I have 25 days to sift thru it all. I'm glad to report that the park days I had picked for the week, coincided perfectly with his. I was very excited!

Umm, hadn't thought of that before but yeah, I guess you're right. I'm hoping I get more out of it than just that once I have the time to spend on his site.

TGM is sooooo much more than just what parks to be in on a given day. You can't possibly dedicate around 300 articles on just what park to be in. Happy reading :cool1:

Touche... But honestly, there is lots more to it than that...

I'm trying to understand....we are going in Aug. 06 - if I subscribe today does my subscription end in Aug. after our trip or is it good for one year from the time that I subscribe? :) Thanks!

Your subscription is good for 60 days following your trip.

Ken

You guys have convinced me. I think I will give it a try for our August trip.

Hi, I am also trying to decide whether to get TGM or not. We are going nov. 29-dec 6th, which isn't suppose to be too crowded so what do you think. Plus besides the tour plans what else does the site offer. thanks so much.
