Wow THV booked through August!

I tried to get 8 nights at THV anytime from May through end of summer and they only had a stray night here and there!I guess i'll have to be better w/planning in the future lol! Anyway I did book 8 nights in May a dedicated 2br at SSR and waitlisted for THV. I wonder what my chances of it coming through? Either way I am sooo excited to be going back again and will be staying at my home resort for the 1st tme yayyy!

Wow! That's . My DD25 was hoping for a family trip in August. We own at AKV, and it's a good thing I "convinced" her we better book AKV, since there were rumors of very little availability at THV. I'm glad I did! I'll try at 7 months, but I'm not expecting anything to be available.

I booked exactly at my 11 month mark but did not get up early (I'm on left coast) and I was told I got the last one available for 3 nights in May (doing split stay).

I was worried about the demand being high for that property. This is the time when I'm happy I purchased at SSR (although BLT sure looks inviting). I'm planning my trip for Oct. '10 and my fear is having to split my stay because of earlier guest reservations falling into my own timeframe.

It seems the location, busses, and bugs are not scaring too many folks off! Did I mention......Bugs!!

THV is the closest I am willing to get to camping, and it seems many feel the same way. I like that I am able to invite guests and have a "guest room" without imposing on the boys or putting them in the living area. It is an awesome set up!

Can DVC members book all the THVs or only the ones that are declared? I think there's only a handful declared at this point.

I called Member Services this morning to book a trip for next year. As usual, the cast member and I got off topic and I started discussing my plans for our 2011 points. I told her that we wanted to book the THV for my daughter's highschool graduation trip. She told me that they fill up EXTRAORDINARILY fast. Now, I have never had a problem getting anything at my home resorts at the 11 month window and even BCV at 8 months for F&W. But she did warn me that if I wanted a THV I really should call as soon as Member Services opens up on my first day I can book to get it. So I'm marking my calendar!

That's like the Beach Cottages at VB! I was so worried about callling for one for June, but we did get it at 11 months out! If we get our resale at SSR, I'll be on the phone early for a THV reservation as well!

Thanks for that info! Sure hope they declare at least a few more this month ... as I'm waitlisted for 1 extra night on my existing Dec reservation.
