Wow...this is odd!

I'm making my ADR this week & called early today for CMC breakfast. I figured while I'm on the phone & might as well book my dinner too at Planet Hollywood. They said there was 1 opening left at 5:45 which I took or after 10:15. Do you think the restaurants are only giving limited ADR during prime hours? I would think PH would not be completely booked already at 90 days out.
They did ask if I was on the dining plan & have everyday since Sunday.

I was thinking the same thing when I called for Mama Melrose dinner at 90 days out. The CM told me she only had a 4:30PM. So I decided on another restaurant. Too early for dinner if you ask me.

We're you doing the FDP package or just dinner? I have a 4:20 with the package but I'm going to call back 30 days out & see if anything else opens up.

definitely call back within 30 days for the FDP.....I was able to get a 6:10 at the brown derby doing this

As for MGM restaurants, FDP or not, keep trying back. Later times should open up 3-4 weeks before the date you want.

with more and more people buying the Dining plan, if ADR's will be harder to come by just due to volume of diners?????

I still think its strange that Planet Hollywood has no dinner openings 90 days out.

I would definintely call back again closer to your trip. We are going in 2 days and I just called 2 weeks ago after I read about it on these boards. There were many dinner openings for Hollywood and Vine and definitely a few openings for Mama Melrose. Good Luck!

I called today and made my ADR for both Chef Mickeys breakfast and Planet Hollywood. I too was only available to choose 5:45 or 10:15. I asked the CM about it and she told me that Planet Hollywood blocks off the time from 6-10pm and makes it unavailable for Disney to reserve spots for those times. She figured that Planet Hollywood either wants to make their own reservations for these times or keep it open for walkups. I wanted 6pm but I gladly took 5:45 instead of waiting until after 10pm and I didn't feel like calling PH directly to try to reserve.

There is always a possibility they will open up later times at a later date. This happended to us last November when we booked the Fantasmic DP for H&V at MGM. The CM told me they only leave a small window of time available to book them.

I was told that you can pick up a card at guest services if you are staying on site that will give you priority seating. I think you pick it up either at your resort or at DTD. One person on the board said they picked it up at their hotel...Poly.

I tried the same thing for a day in June 14th I think it was.

I'm glad you spoke with someone who took the time to explain it. I was started to think it was some kind of "dining plan" conspiracy

I did get Concorse Steakhouse this morning for 7:30 pm (time requested) so there goes my whole theory.

We got a ADR for 4:30 ~ 90 days out for FDP, it's early but I figure it will be a late lunch/early dinner... then we can hit some more rides until we have to go see Fantasmic!!
