Wow.. reservation via web..

Just a FYI.. needed to book a 2BR for next March at SSR and since there wasn't a rush I thought I'd use the website to make the reservation. I know using the phone is quick but I thought I'd test the waters since I've never done it before (and I'm at work.. ssshhhh).

Less than 4 hours later I received an email with my confirmation number! Pretty slick.

Well that's good to know! I've always made ressies via the phone, but always wondered how long it would take if we made them over the internet. Thanks for postng about this! It will come in useful someday~

There have been a good number of threads on this subject in the past, and the general headline seems to be "online ressie a good idea? it depends." Ergo, some people get confirmations right away, others not for days.

My read is that if you are making a reservation that isn't time sensitive (ergo, not an 11-month-to-the-minute day by day one for a holiday season or 7 months at WLV or one of the Epcot area resorts), I guess online is worth a try. But if you're at all concerned about availability, sticking with the phone is probably going to be better at keeping ones' blood pressure down.
