Wow!!! Radisson Resort Parkway!!

We just returned from our first trip to WDW. The Radisson Resort Parkway was an incredible hotel!!! The pool or I should say pools were AMAZING. We had a real hard time getting our 3 kids out of the pools. The kids ate free and the quality and quantity of food was great. Our family of five ate out at least 4 nites and the highest our bill every was just under $30. The staff was wonderful and very helpful. I can't say enough good things about this resort. I would highly recommend this resort! When we do return to WDW we will definitely be staying at the Radisson Resort Parkway again.

We stayed there a few weeks ago. How did you like the hot tub/spa??? Isn't it the neatest thing you've ever seen?!?! (or do I need to get out more. LOL) Glad you had a great time!

How far is the hotel from WDW? How was the drive into the parks?

Thanks!
Sammy

Hi,
Sorry it took so long to reply. We were less than 15min from the gates to all of the 4 Disney parks. When we do return to Disney we will definitely be staying at the Radisson Resort Parkway again!!

Here is a direct link to book with Radisson Resort Parkway with rates starting at only $66.00 per night (rates vary with dates):

Hope this helps; rates seem really good.

Radisson Resort Parkway was wonderful. My husband and I stayed here after having a terrible experience at the ASSports. We had a terrible room barely inhabitable. Peeling wallpaper, no bathtub. ( I was 7 months pregnant and after the parks it would have been a godsend to have a tub. When we arrived at the Radisson I was so relieved we got a huge room with a king sized bed and we liked the tile on the bathroom floor. Everything was super clean and the staff is very helpful. We also loved the swimming pool but I do not remember the hottub, what was so special about it? I do remember the waterfall and it was beautiful. The hotel is also in a a very convenient location right off 192. We had a very enjoyable stay. Very good value for what you get. Much much better then the terrible Renaissance Maingate I got through priceline (never again will I bid on a 3* in WDW vicinity for fear of receiving this hotel.

Great to hear all this positive stuff! We're going there later this month.

Do any of you have a recommendation on a room location, or other things we should suggest? Also, any restaurants you recommend?

Does it have a game room?

I can't tell you how happy I am to hear theset great words. For the first time in 10 years we are not staying at our beloved DXL and are staying a the Radisson. DH is a Radisson employee and with his emploee discount, the price was too good to pass up. One quastion, or maybe two. How often doest the shuttle leave the hotel for the parks and where does it leave you off? Did you experience any problems returning to the hotel in the evenings after the paerks close? And what is the name of the small mall I'm told is right next to th e hotel. Thanks for setting my mind at ease about this new experience.

The hot tub was really neat! It was a freeformed oval, so to speak. There were bolders (manmade) that ran 1/2 the length that had a waterfall running into the tub. The water was really hot, too, not luke warm like some we have sat in. It looked like something out of a brocure for an island resort.

I booked my in-laws and my mother at the Radisson last Easter. and then crossed my fingers that it was going to be ok. Well it was better than ok. we left where we were staying and stayed w/them!! The pool was great and we enjoyed the breakfast buffet before the parks. The Deli was another good, inexpensive dining option.

Not far from parks-convenient, easy drive, Just alittle traffic as pass I-4. Friendly staff. I loved the tile in the bathroom. Very clean. I have booked my in-laws there again as they need one night after our cruise before they fly out.

I recommend it-and the price is VERY reasonable. , until this secret gets out. Lets stop writing about it!!

Just wondering if the pool has a waterslide at all and how would the pool compare to Stormalong Bay at the YC/BC? We are booked to stay at the YC for the night before our cruise but if some "code rates" don't come out soon my frugal side is going to have a hard time staying there but DD really wants to stay where they have a great pool and slide.

Yes there is a very nice, curving slide at the Radisson. THere are two pools - one not heated with the Slide and Waterfall, and one heated pool, there are also two hot tubs. THe pool area is very nice - not like Yacht Club with the sand bottom BUT at $66.00 a night you can't really beat it.

I would be inclined to say the pool reminded me of the Dolphin's pool and their slide. A nice thing for the taller people in the group, is the pool goes to 6'.

Sounds wonderful! Thanks for sharing such a great report!
