Wow...No Studios Available

I called MS today to try to change reservations from 11/29 through 12/2 (we have reservations at SSR and are waitlisted for the same time at BCV)....... to 12/4 to 12/8. There was not one studio available anywhere!! We are staying with the original plan, but was really surprised that no studios were available. I always thought that the attendance was lower during the first two weeks of December...

Attendance at the parks IS lower during this time , but it is also a very popular time for DVC members to visit. Many of us call day by day at our 11 month window to make sure we get our first choice of resort and room type.

If you've never beenduring this time before, you are in for a BIG treat!

There are no studios available the end of October, either. I am renting out some extra points, and I have had 16 people contact me since yesterday, wanting to stay the end of October.

Disers are saying "no" but maybe more studios or moderate in the system isn't a bad idea!

Attendance in the hotels and parks is lower, but apprently not at DVC! MS told me the first 2 weeks of Dec is one of their most crowded times. I was advised to always book the first 2 weeks of Dec exactly at 11 mos and if I want something specific (like boardwalk view) to do it day by day.

Well, maybe not a"moderate" DVC, but it might be nice if they built one building somewhere that is all studios, for those who want a quick trip in a studio once in a while.
