Wow - new front loading washer & dryer

Our washing machine bit the dust before vacation, but we decided to wait until after vacation to buy something. Our dryer was probably around 30 yrs old so we replaced it too. Today they delivered my new Frigidaire Gallery washer & dryer.

I cannot believe how little water is uses. Amazing! I knew it would be less than an older top loading, but I'm still amazed.

I got the model that was marked Consumer Reports Best Buy and the matching dryer. Both on sale too. Great price & shorter wash times compared to many others out there.

I can't wait to see how the dryer dries. Our old one took waaaaaayyyy too long to dry clothes.

We have the Frigidaire Gallery set as well and I just love it. I love that it uses less water and still manages (imo) to get the clothes cleaner. The dryer dries faster too.

The dryer only took one cycle to dry. Who would have thought I would be so happy about doing 2 wks worth of laundry?

We had them stack the units & turn them, so no more trying to shimmy sideways by both units in our tiny laundry room.

I am so jealous! I really want a new washer and dryer but just can't justify it. Ours is about 17 years old and the newer models are so much nicer and can fit so much more in them for 1 load. But ours are still working great so I just can't bring myself to buy new ones. And DH is "handy" so even if they stop working he can most likely fix them. I will probably have these 2 until I die!
