Jeb Bush at the movies!

She was up visiting me this week in Tallahassee. One day I had to work, so she decided to go catch LOTR. While waiting for it to start, she noticed Jeb Bush and his wife walk in, also a few security people who sat behind them.

I know, not a true "wow" siting, but kinda cool. I never thought of Jeb doing everyday things like that, but I suppose they all do, right? Though, somehow, I doubt Dubya would have been able to go to the movies with just a few security people.

You just never know when you'll run into your State Governor. I personally would call it a true "wow" sighting myself. I have a friend who qwent to ireland a number of years ago for a few weeks on vacation. While she there she dropped into a Pub in Dublin. After she's been there a bit she notices some ppl coming in the door. It was Tom Ridge, then PA Governor, and his security ppl. Never 1 to pass up an opportunity, especially since she doesn't get to Harrisburg, she went over to his table and introduced herself as a constituent and sat down and talked to him for over an hour. His security was floored but didn't stop her. She came away really liking him, though she'd never vote for him being an avowed Democrat.

I'm always sorry i missed my chance to talk to him at the Dover race in 02. I didn't realize he'd actually stepped out of his limo to chat with race fans until he jumped back in. Oh well.

So who else here has unexpectedly seen their Governor?
