Yesterday was our last day so we went to Magic kingdom. We had been there since Thursday and the crowds were very manageable. But yesterday was awful. By lunchtime the wait for Space Mountain was 120 minutes! Thank goodness for Fast Pass. We were in the Fast Pass line right at boarding and this lady in the regular line who had obviously been waiting close to 2 hours asked me how much my Fast Pass cost. I explained to her that it was free with your park admission. She said "I dont understand". I said "do you have a park ticket?". She said "yes". I said "you go up to a Fast Pass machine, insert your park ticket, and a Fast Pass comes out". I was very nice about it though. I was just surprised that she had no idea it was free and felt bad for her that she waited in that long line (and had probably been in other long lines since it was already 2 p.m. by that time) when she really didnt have to. Apparently this is spring break week. I am so glad we left yesterday - I feel sorry for those that are on vacation this week having to deal with the crowds and the rain.

we're leaving for WDW tomorrow, and honestly, I don't care how crowded it is...
get me out of this snow!!!!!!!!

These two 2 word phrases should always be linked in considering a WDW visit....

SPRING BREAK......... STAY AWAY

The crowds can be unbelievable!!! Did it once....Won't ever do it again!!!

I leave at midnight tonight, and have never experienced Spring Break crowds. We had no choice with the time of year. A friend won an award, you can't really ask the company to move the event to low season, they really won't do that, lol. I am going to watch their baby, so I am not too concerned with the crowds. I only have a couple of days on my own, and will utilize EMH, fast pass and single rider. All other times, it will be site seeing and seeing shows, oh yea, and shopping. Not much one can do with a two month old. I will just be happy to be there, enjoying the sunshine :sunny: (only one day forecasted for light rain) and drinking up the atmosphere. This is an unexpected trip, and I plan to make the most of it. I won't be returning until May 2005 for my 25th anniversary.

I can hardly concentrate on work!!! :Pinkbounc

I think you will be surprised by how much you can do with a baby. The only things I haven't been able to do with my DD are the thrill rides with height restrictions - the 3 mountains at MK, Body Wars, M:S and TT at Epcot, RnR, ToT, and Star Tours at DS, and Dinosaur, PW, and KRR at AK. That's it - 3 rides at each park.

Everytime we take her on the safari at AK, she actually falls asleep in the sling!

Have a great time!

This is discouraging. We plan on going at this time either 2005 or 2006-I guess I thought Spring Break crowds would be later-Like in April. Maybe we should consider October. I wonder how the weather is October.

DD is working at MK and said that Sun. they had 60,000 in the park. Sounds crowded to me. Glad I was there last week.

We're also leaving tomorrow...

My wife's folks were supposed to go with us, and we've been planning this trip for about a year, and they backed out just a few days ago.
The reason is sort of out of their control (long story, but I'm trying keep the peace, lol).
The main reason we're going during spring break is because of them.
They live in Northern Vermont, and apparently March is 'Mud Season' (everything thawing out), and that's when they wanted to go to Disney. I warned them about the potential crowds, but they still wanted to go at that time.

Oh well, we'll make the best of it anyways:)

Rather be at MK packed than be anywhere else.::yes:: :hyper: :wave2:

Darn!! I'm leaving on Thursday and I'll be there at the end of July too. I agree with the last poster. I'd rather be at MK packed than anywhere else, except at MK when it's not packed

July is busier than Spring Break but except for the 4th holiday not too much busy

thanks
