I was around for most of the space program and if there were people that opposed it, I never met them. Just like today, If they were around, and they probably were, they were a pretty small percentage of the population. I need to point out that Apollo 11 was in 1969. If only a list could be created that tell everyone how many of the things that we take for granted now in Technology is a direct result of the space program. Oh, yea, I forgot, we no longer strive to create all we can do now is b*tch.
