How did I not know about this before??

I just enrolled my son in a YES "Synergy in Science"class at Epcot. We got 5 day PH passes for 3 people for $545. Regular price is $899. :cheer2:My husband is a science teacher so this is right up his alley!

Woot Woot!

Yay! Isn't it a great deal?!? I felt the same way when we signed my son up last June and we all got tickets at almost half the price! :thumbsup2 We LOVED the class he took - at MK - can't remember the name but it was about sound and energy ..something like that. We got to go backstage at the Haunted Mansion..it was so cool!!! I highly recommend the program!! :goodvibes

P.S. sb127 - NO, there is no "fee" ! You sign up for the program and get discounted park tickets! How can you go wrong?! But you do have to buy your tickets when you sign up, at least we did last summer.

Thanks for the info! We are taking our DGD(10) and DGS(12) this summer and thought this might be a way to save on tickets. Is it just the kids who get the discount or can you buy tickets for the adults also when you register? We will have to see if they are interested in taking one of the programs offered during our visit.

I did too...i signed my two older girls up for a class in August! For 5, 6 day premium tickets with hoppers (baby doesnt need a ticket yet) it was $1046!

You can purchase 1 adult ticket per child. We are taking our grand-daughters this june and they are taking a total 3 classes. We saved almost $700!!

Where can you find information about this program, my son loves Science, and with or without a ticket discount, I know he would be interested. thanks.

Shoot, all of the for the week we are there are already closed, oh well, maybe next year though!

The catch is that the tickets must be used with in 7 days of the class and (I think) they are non-refundable.

We just registered. The tickets are non-refundable. However, when you register you put in your arrival date and departure date. The tickets will be valid as of the arrival date you put in (so make sure you put in the earliest date you may want to use them), and the tickets expire 7 days after your planned departure date. The program that you sign up for can be any time between your arrival and departure date. For us, we will be in the area for 14 days, but our tickets are actually valid for 21 days because they could still be used for 7 days after our departure date.

Yes tickets may be the greatest thing since sliced bread! :lmao: We just saved $424 on our tickets AND our DS gets to take a class! WOW!! :cool1: Makes it ok to not have APs this year!

How long are the classes? Are they an all day program or just a few hours? Found my answer that they are 3 hours long.
Does the parent get to tag along with the child? Looks like something I'd also like to participate in as well!
Also can you sign up on your own for this? It looks like you have to be part of a group to get registered.

As for how you didn't know about it- I almost feel like Disney pays people not to write about it. Its not on couponing to Disney OR the unofficial guide. It is on mousesavers now though.

I just signed up my son and I for the Disney's Wild by Nature Program. It looks really interesting and I'm just as excited as my son! We don't usually spend a lot of time in AK so this looks great for us to see behind the scenes and learn more about the wildlife! Also the ticket discount is a huge plus!

You can sign up through individual enrollment without being part of a group. A parent must attend with a child under 13, and even if your child is over 13 a parent can still attend.
