Wow... I almost went today. I cant believe its closed to capacity... I don't think I have ever seen this happen.

Apparently it was crazy in Orlando today..IOA, DHS,MK and AK all closed to capacity -The 3 disney parks were in various phases of closure at approx the same time frames...Glad I stay the heck out of Orlando during Christmas week

Anyone driving around Orlando today is going to be hurting! Not only because of the traffic for the theme parks, we also have two major sporting events downtown tonight. The Champs Sports Bowl at the Citrus Bowl is at 5:30pm and the Magic play the NJ Nets tonight at the Amway Center. But guess what? Both games should be ending around the same time so there is no relief in sight for traffic problems today.

I don't use I-4 on my daily commute so I'm not concerned. This sounds like a night to order a pizza and stay in.

I cannot find a link, but just watched on wesh 2 news that a family is complaining because of the crowds in the park. The family did not arrive until 12 and felt that universal should have mentioned how busy they were before she bought the tickets. They now want to seek a refund.

Another family said that spiderman was 120 min wait. They paid for express and only waiting 9 mins. however they mentioned that it was a 3 hour wait to get into harry potter and you still felt squished.

I dont know how busy it was... but a refund.. maybe it is just me.

but, back when HHN was at ioa, one night we were told that the crowd was at 40,000 that saturday night.

this was before parry hotter was created.


so, i'm going with Sunshine's estimate of over 50,000.

My wait time app was showing 120+ minute waits for Hulk and Spiderman earlier today.

It also said at around 12:15, Forbidden Journey, Hippogriff and Dragons were all closed. If that was the case, it must have made the other lines even worse.

I was also surprised to see they are charging $99.99 for Express Passes just for IoA, yesterday, today and tomorrow.

I was there. Got to IOA at 8am and did Harry first. I expected it to be crazy and I really didn't think it was that bad.

My sister works for Universal and tells me they are hearing 87,000 people on 12/27 in IOA, and that IOA also closed yesterday by noon due to capacity.
