but I got my waitlist request! It's such a personal victory, I never thought I'd be someone to share it here on the DIS but I feel so happy, I had to blurt it out! Here we come Savannah View-AKV!!!

I also waitlisted for the BCV (2nd request). Does this mean that my 2nd request will drop off? I'm quite happy with the SV!

I can't believe this. This is our first DVC vacation. I checked the DVC website compulsively, like 2x daily, for the past 30+ days. I got so used to seeing the old reservation that I was stunned when I saw the WL reservation.

We are on a waitlist as well for BLT for one night in May.. (our entire trip was available except the first night.)

I didn't know you could check the status on the website. Where do you go to look that up?

On the dvcmember.com website, after you log in, on the right there's a section "View vacation details" (I think that's what it says). When you click on it, your upcoming vacation shows up. It's very exciting when the WL comes through. It's like Christmas, when you scroll down and see that new reservation!

(It's almost like Disney could read my thoughts and had to take drastic measures, LOL. Just today I was thinking we should spend at least 1 day out of our week in Orlando, at Universal, to see HP. I think Disney could feel my dollars slipping away and just gave me my WL).

Im jealous! Im anxiously awaiting for ours to come thru! But only have until October 31st.. then I need to drop a day off of our vacation and when this happens.. I will go to the bottom of the wait list chart! OY!! We leave for our trip on december 1st. So will see I guess.

I am hoping to get ours as well. I had planned for the BCV and got up early the am to do so. Then got it. Then changed it to a 1 bed room still have it. Then last week we needed to go back to a studio. There are now none so back at KV have a SV view for 1 night and then standard for the rest I would prefer one room and not have to switch!

I am pretty sure you have to cancel any pending waitlists. If you are happy with your room, I would call MS to be sure.

I've actually been surprised at some of my waitlists that have come through...

On July 24th my waitlist came through for New Years eve (BWV)
A waitlist for BWV for 10/15, just came through yesterday
Waitlist for 3/20-3/22 vacation came through 8/26 (std view BWV)

On August 26th, we cancelled out BWV F&W reservations made at the 11 month window because of a change of dates. Our new dates were(are) 10/12-10/17. Between calling everyday and waitlists we've ended up with OKW 10/12-10/15 and BWV STD 10/15-10/17. I still call every day to see if I can get more days at the BWV, but overall I've been happy that I was able to fill these last minute requests. When I first cancelled our late October dates, we were looking at 3 nights in the middle having to pay cash.
