WOW - I just sold my old gold........

my package just arrived at USGB on monday morning, and i got a call from them that afternoon with my payout-$630.00! i didn't send in very much, a few pairs of very small earrings, 2 pairs of larger earrings, a couple of thin chains, and 2 chain bracelets. i am THRILLED! the guy i spoke with said i should have my money in 2-3 business days (hopefully friday!)! we're trying to put together a trip to hilton head next month with my in-laws, and this will more than pay our portion!

I have a tennis bracelet of cubic zirconium stones, and 18kt Gold OVER sterling silver. Would they take that?

Its good to see this thread again and that y'all are doing so well! :thumbsup2

So what do you think about the above bracelet?

I just got my instruction email. It says they will reimburse for shipping. How much is it to fed ex?

you pay nothing to send your jewelry to USGB-they reimburse fedex. that line that says they reimburse for shipping is if your jewelry is worth more than $5,000, they recommend you send it USPS certified (or maybe registered?) mail. if you do that, they'll reimburse your USPS shipping costs.

ETA: in the instruction e-mail, it shows a sample airbill so you'll know how to fill out the fedex airbill. it's got the USGB fedex account # on it, and you just put it in the correct blank.

Thanks. I re read my email after I asked the question. Thanks for the help!

I have a chain, ring, and small earrings, less than an ounce in weight total.

Is it even worth it to send them in?

i would-it doesn't cost you anything. USGB pays for shipping. i didn't send much, and i got $630!

I sent mine in on Friday and they called today. I'm getting $450.00!! :cool1: I am shocked. I was hoping for at least $50.00. I sent in 3 broken chains, a few pair of earrings, two broken rings, an onyx ring and a few things I wasn't even sure were gold or not. I highly recommend them. Fast and Easy!!

Ok, got my call today...$125.89. Not too bad, considering I had the stuff at the bottom of my jewelry box! Would have loved to get about $200, but I'm still a happy camper!

Thank you so much for this information!!! I decided to send my gold in yesterday, and they just called with $197 payout, and they said most of it was not real gold, so I am getting it back. It was 7 gold rings -all 10k-and 2 tie tacks that they counted. Wow!!! I am so glad I went ahead and did this!!!

I would like to try this out... does USGB stand for US gold buyers or US Gold Bureau? do they have a website?

I think i am going to send in a few small pieces first to see if it works

my fiances has a lot of "joan rivers" stuff but i am not sure if those are gold or not... it seems too cheap to be gold. regardless we have other items that are gold.

Just got my call! $578.96. I was hoping for a little more, but I'm thrilled!! FedEx picked up my package at 3pm yesterday and I got my call at 4:15pm. Hopefully it'll be in my Paypal account soon! Thank you OP!
