Woo Hoo! I got my call about an hour ago and I'm going to be getting $517.86 which is more than what I had initially hoped for. I think I'm going to use part of the money to get a Disney GC for our December trip and save the rest and put it towards a new watch I've been lusting after. I'm so excited and agree with another poster - I probably wouldn't have done it if I hadn't found this thread. Thank you OP and all the other posters!

Thanks for posting about this company. I've been trying to get rid of some old rings we have (DH's old wedding ring, etc) and was hesitant to try an online company. It's nice to know they're reputable and fair! I'll be sending mine off in a couple of weeks, once I get it all together

I can't believe it. Just got the call and I am getting $703.70. I honestly didn't think i would get 100.00. I thought what I sent in was junk.

Nope...cleared the next day. Although, I am also in NY, so that has to be taken into consideration, as well.

Congratulations on your payday! I'm still pinching myself over how well I made out. What a wonderfully unexpected turn of events...and I owe it all to this thread!

You should be able to track it once it's been picked up. That's how it works at work when we ship. If it isn't up there yet, it should be available later tonight or at the very latest, first thing in the morning.

I've been lurking this thread for forever, still trying to decide whether or not to send my few pieces in.
Has anyone opted not to take the payout? What happens if they offer too low, can I decline and they'll mail my items back? Do they insure the items, there and back?
Has anyone ever sent one of those gold rings w/the gold coins in? DH has one and I'm trying to guess what that one is worth.

If you are concerned that their offer will be too low, take what you have to a local jeweler and see what they will offer you. I did this recently and USGB beat my local jeweler by almost $400. They made me an offer on Tuesday, had my check in hand on Friday and it cleared the following Monday. I've done two transactions with them recently and had no trouble at all.

I finally did it, I sent my gold out with Fed Ex at 1:30 today. Can't wait to see the $$$ offered. I took the gold to a local jeweler and he offered $300. From what I've read here, most people have been offered more through USGB. I hope it's true for me. Watch, I'll be the exception. I have been working hard selling old baby/toddler things on craigslist (Why do we hold onto those things???) and now getting rid of the clutter in my jewelry box. That is how we are going on this trip. We just went in Aug. and I told my husband I could come up with a large chunk of the tab. I'll let everyone know as soon as I hear something tomorrow. Any idea when they would call ? Don't want to miss the call because I'm in the shower or something!!!

They called me around 3:00 p.m. I was one of the exceptions. The local jeweler here was the same price as I got from USGB, but I'm not complaining! Thanks to USGB, we're going to Disney this summer!

Quite a bit was non-precious metal that they are going to donate. But for what I sent (3 chains, 3 rings, and a couple of bracelets and earrings that were probably the culprits!) I think that's pretty darn good.

Fed ex picked it up yesterday 1:40pm and it was just delivered at 9 am!! Can't wait to hear from them. I need some pixie dust that it's more than the local jeweler offered me (300). Trying to pay off my dining plan, would like to call WDW and add the plan for my 7 night stay in under three weeks.
