Thanks to those of you who advised me to go with USGB! I sent my gold on Friday and they called today. My total was $660.41!!
That was a lot more than I had expected and it will all be going to the Mouse!

Did you get your check yet? I would like to do this as well..but I am leaving for Disney next Friday. Wondering I would get the $$ by then if I did something via the mail? Would rather take it somewhere but dont want to take it to a jeweler if I wont get as much.

Do you have a Paypal account? I sent mine in yesterday and they called me today around 3pm (cst) and it's only been a little over an hour ago and the money is already in my paypal account. Paypal does charge a fee which, I didn't know about. I ended up with $206.41 for my few trinkets.

I got my call... They offered $184.22. Not as much as I was hoping for, but more than I had sitting on my dresser. I did Paypal, and it was in there within the hour. They did charge $5 and some change as a fee, but I guess that's the price you pay to have your money quickly. Good Luck to you all!

The fee was like $6 which was about 3%. When they called me around 3 I was on my way to pick up my son and I checked my email around 4:15 and the email was there that it had been deposited to my paypal account.

Not too bad. I was actually inquiring about the orignial email when you first contacted them. The guy on the phone told me I would get an email with all of the info..but have yet to get it.

So exciting I may have some extra cash for Disney!!!!!

I called them 2 days in a row and never received their email. They said they are having problems with their server. They gave me the info. over the phone instead of the email. So I would call them again tomorrow and let them know you didn't get the email.

This maybe an odd question, i have been flipping around this thread reading up, but if they send you a check, or paypal, do you need to report that as income.

I am so excited to see what I might get But wont get my hopes up. I figure its just sitting around anyway.

I sent my package by 2-day mail on a Monday. They called me on Wednesday afternoon. My husband forgot about the message and gave it to me on Thursday morning so I called back. My offer was $201.81. I asked for a check to be mailed to me. I think I had the check by the following Tuesday. Not bad for a bunch of stuff I hadn't even looked at in years!

I dropped my package off at FedEx yesterday afternoon (4:00ish) and they received it today (9:30ish) and I received my call this afternoon (4:30ish).

I had a hair appt and told my husband if they called while I was gone to accept the offer and he said that we had to have a minimum offer yada yada yada. Anyway he said he would not accept anything less than $75.00. I fortunately was home by the time that they called and they offered me $608.21!!!!

I'm trying to compare with others and eyeball the amount I have ready to send off. Tried to weigh it but with the stones still set in them I'm not sure how accurate it is. LOL

My kitchen scale weighed it at about 2oz. It was a combo of 10 and 14 karat. I got $505. I had several rings with small stones and three birthstone brats. I don't see how this would need to be reported as income as they don't have your social security number to report it to the IRS. How is it any different that selling stuff on e-bay?
