Wow I can't wait for Disney

I have just got back from gatlinburg(which i love)but as far as Dollywood goes it makes you really appreciate Disney and Universal because of the crappy layout of the park and the not so great rides and not to mention the prices that are comparable with disney and sometimes more.They have a few good coasters and that was it .Mystery Mine,tennesse tornado,and thunder were good but that was it.Come on September,i can not wait for orlando.If you go to Gatlinburg do the mountains not dollywood!

Yes Dollywood is $$$, the layout is not so great...I know it sounds silly but seems like they managed to make the entire park all up hill no matter which direction you are going. But if you are comparing any park to Disney World they are going to fail in comparision. (Unless you only go for the costers and then WDW lacks compared to some). Dollywood is a nice park, well kept, and friendly southern charm. I would suggest if you plan on spending several days 3-4 or more in this area you should look into trying it again but without the idea of comparing it to WDW.

We love, love love Gatlinburg too. But now we love, love, love Disney. What a dilemma? They are both about equal distances from our house.
We liked Dollywood, but our main thing was just seeing the sites and the shows. It is definitely not on the same level with Disney.

We love Gatlinburg and liked Dollywood. Of course it is not Disney, nothing can compare to Disney, but it was still a fun day for us. I am glad you had a good time and enjoy yourself at Disney too.
