--for my dates. Just got back from a mini vacation with my husband and son and had decided (after living with snoring for 2 nights and late night tv viewing) I wanted to book an additional room for my dates and went to the site, used the same code and the price for our same room was $169. Jeez-- I don't know whether to try and call Lorealle at noon or just bite the bullet and purchase some earplugs. Son was excited about the prospect of having his own room-- he will be 18 when we go, but of course husband would probably end up rooming with him anyway lol. Anyways wow-- feel extremely lucky I jumped on those dates when they were available.

That can be so frustrating. The discounted rates have limited availability and then the regular rate kicks in. The Hojo has a new forum that will tell you all about when their discounted rates are available www.hojoanaheim.com/phpbb.
Also, I would try to call them directly and talk to in house reservations. I always have better luck that way than when I try to use the codes online.

There has been a ton of talk about rates going up at HoJo - the new pools and all. It is bar far the best family friendly property in the area and the new pools will really set it apart from all the other propertys. I am glad we got in on the great old rates. In the future we will look into rates at other properties before making a decission on where to stay. Usually we just book HoJo because we know how pleased we will be and we know that we are getting a great rate.

Yikes! I'm glad I got in on the ent rate from Dec :) I hope I won't have to change the dates after surprising my parents in June!

That was my first thought when I read about the new pool: I bet the rates will now go up quite a bit.:scared1: . Especially if it's the only non-Disney hotel within walking distance that has a themed pool.

::yes:::scared1: :sad2: I always stay at Hojo and have paid rack rate of up to $129 to do so in years past during peak holiday season, but I would not pay $169 a night to stay there. No way. For that I would try the Hyatt, Marriott, Embassy suites w/ full hot breakfast, Residence Inn w/ hot breakfast, etc. They may not be walking distance, but I wouldn't pay that much to stay at Hojo, especially since I'm always at the park and have never, despite many stays over the years, ever gone to the pool. :sad2: For those prices, I'll try one of the above hotels, drive and use my AAA parking pass.:sad:

Hmmm... I'm wondering if the ent rates will increase too, and if so by how much? Lorealle?????

As far as I know/have been told- Entertainment Rates are staying the same!

And you can always, always, always contact In-House Reservations directly to find out about our Best Available Rates for the dates that you're looking to stay with us! We always try to do our best to give you the best prices that we have available! :D

Lorealle

That's good to know Lorealle! I just booked today for 7 nights in April 2009 but the Entertainment rates weren't avail yet. The lady I spoke to said I could call back and adjust my reservations if/when the Ent rate ever becomes available.

sorry... I dont usually read this board but I was wondering what exactly are the entertainment rates you all are talking about? We are going in october and hopefully we will be staying at HoJo if we can get a good rate. :goodvibes

I talked to Lorealle today (thanks to a very polite and patient Rafael) and she said- shoot those rates were taken-- which actually really makes me value the room I got. Guess I'll just get some earplugs (which by the way she said were available at the front desk lol ;-) She also did say check back as sometimes those et rates come back up. Guess the moral of the story is-- if you see the rates and know your dates-- just take 'em, don't hesitate. I will also add she was willing to help me with the 15% off rate but we really don't need a second room that badly lol.

Well, I got my room for $59 for March 21-25 next year, using the entertainment rate. You just go to the website, put in your dates, and also the code SD50 and see if there are any available for your dates. The same room now for those dates is $169. I feel extraordinarily lucky and glad that I grabbed those rates while I could--even though I felt like a nut doing it a whole year in advance. You will need to buy an entertainment book- could be for Anaheim or you area and show the little card that comes in it in the front.

Wow I just checked and our dates are gone too. I'm glad we jumped on them when we did!

Glad I have booked for November!

And I just want to apologize to anyone who had to talk to me on the phone today. I was out of the office [And off the internet! <- That's when you KNOW you're sick! :rotfl: ], sick from Wednesday night of last week until today- and my voice is so beyond gone, it's embarrassing!

So THANK YOU to everyone that I spoke with today, for your patience and for your well-wishes! It really meant a lot to me, and I hope I didn't scare you off with my hacking and wheezing! :goodvibes

Lorealle

 I hope you're feeling better soon!!!
