Wow got all FP+ I wanted but no Captain EO?

My window opened at midnight and I was shocked to get everything I wanted Thanksgiving week. 7DMT on 11/24 and 11/25 was a real surprise. Much easier than I expected lol. But Captain EO had no availability, wonder if it will be closed by then?

From what I've seen, it's been open then closed periodically. Maybe someone local will have more information.

ETA: When I was there in May they were showing previews for Tomorrowland in the theater. Maybe it will be something like that when you are there.

Almost same experience here! Got everything we wanted, including A&E and 7DMT. Couldn't get a Primeval Whirl for our little ones either day in AK. Not a huge deal, as we are rope-droppers. Just not the one I expected to be unavailable!

Primeval Whirl is closed for refurb right now….not sure when the opening date is expected to be.

Thanks! I found it really weird that FP+ weren't available for it. My 7-year-old wants to check it out and we really didn't need the FP+ for anything else. Now we have identical FP for both AK days. I'll just keep an eye out.

CEO was the only thing we missed this year. Just forgot. It's never been a fp choice since lines are so low. Sad it will probably be gone. Just gonna have to YouTube it.

Your better off. Captain EO is an embarrassment of double standards for Disney. Bill Cosby is shunned, and has his statue removed from the park (rightfully so!) But Michael Jackson has a nearly identical parallel situation and his attraction just won't go away. The only significant difference between the 2 is that MJs accusations were with CHILDREN! I refuse to chose which was more repulsive and wrong, but you would think the guy accused with children would not get a 3d movie.

(Neither have been or were criminally charge, both settled lawsuits out of court... don't give me MJ wasn't proven guilty, because neither was Bill Cosby, but they took action to change things for him)

When we were there this summer, we watched an Inside Out preview in the theater and loved it!! I hope they keep doing that instead of Captain EO. Sorry but we are not in the "Love Captain EO" camp.

The only significant difference between the 2 is that MJs accusations were with CHILDREN! Just a clarification, Bill Cosby has admitted to drugging women and having sex with them (he contends it was consensual, the women disagree and say the drugs incapacitated them.) Michael Jackson was accused of molesting children and was found not guilty in court.

So, no, not the same thing at all. Both bad situations, but very different for Disney to deal with.

There was, at one time, a bust of Bill Cosby in Hollywood Studios. It has been removed.

Yes, exactly. There are two camps when it comes to MJ: those that think his actions were inappropriate, but that he did not molest any children, and those that think he was an absolute creep and he most certainly did. I don't know of anybody who thinks that Bill Cosby is an innocent man.
