What's going on here? Is May going to be less crowded then last year? We just decided to go back in May. ADRs have been available since Nov. but I just got

May 16 Boma 7:05 pm
May 17 Le Cellier 12:00 pm (REALLY? I even had a choice of times)
May 18 OHANA!! 6:45 pm (UNBELIEVEABLE)
May 19 Crystal Palace 9:05 am, Chef Mickey 7:30 pm
May 20 Ohana 10 am

I cannot believe that Le Cellier, Ohana and Chef Mickey were available. I even saw CRT for breakfast one morning. Didn't grab it though. I'm excited that I might get back the quiet May from a few years back before all the deals. Don't get me wrong, I benefited greatly from the 4/3 deal last May by upgrading to AKL but I'm looking forward to staying at Pop and maybe less crowds.

I hope anybody going in May finds some great ADRs like I did.

That's great news, congrats! I am making ressies for May too, I'm just trying to make a couple of decisions. We went last year in May and the crowds were good, so maybe this year they will be even better!

We just booked May 4-11 and have never been in May, always in the fall. Are the crowds generally ok? How is the weather? looking forward to the trip!! :)

Same here. I had no problems at all with out May reservations and have even cancelled things and moved things around a lot -- all with NO problem! Woo Hoo!

I'll be there May 1st-9th. It started out as a solo trip, but I am now meeting some other DISers there. When they first said something about joining me, my first thought was 'uh, oh, I have perfect ADRs with perfect times'. I got them a couple of months ago with no problems (including Le Cellier and Mama Melrose Fantsmic pkg). When I went online yesterday to add fellow DISers to two of my ADRs, I had no problem going from a party of one to a party of six at Cape May and still kept my 7:05 time slot. Better yet, I was able to go from a party of one to a party of eight at Rose & Crown and still keep my 7:05pm time slot. Other options that came up were Coral Reef and Le Cellier. I've been thinking about asking to take my grandson down there this trip, so out of curiosity checked on character meals for the two of us. Chef Mickey's for both meals, Crystal Palace for all three meals, 1900 Park Fare both meals, CRT all three meals, Tusker House, Playhouse Disney, 'Ohana, and Garden Grill all had openings.:confused3 California Grill also had several slots open.

Maybe people do not yet realize they can now make ADRs 180 days out, instead of 90 days out.:confused3

We decided very late (way past the 180 window)to do Disney the week before Easter & I too got everything I wanted including CRT, Le Cellier, Ohana, Chef Mickey's, Teppan Edo, 50's Prime Time, Crystal Palace, Akershus...I think everyone is broke & not going to Disney.

I was adjusting some of my ADRs this week and had no problem changing my late April ADRs to include LeCellier and Coral Reef, and even changed some to better times. I've also been changing some of my ADRs for my trip in 2 weeks and also had lots to choose from (except LeCellier, but I have that one already).

I think it has alot to do with no free dining promotions currently going on.

We are going 5/23-5/30 I made our ADR's last week and got everything we wanted too and at normal times. I'm used to getting stuff but either a 9pm dinner or 330pm dinner, so I was nearly dumbfounded when I saw 5 and 6 pm open everywhere. We got:
Mama Melrose F! package, Le Cellier, Askerhus, Chef Mickey's, Boma, Crystal Palace, Garden Grill, 1900 Park Fare, Sci Fi and Kona

Now I dont know what I'll do for the next 5 months, since I won't have to check wdw dining website twice a day for our top picks! :rotfl:

There has never been free dining for that time of the year. It's only been offered in varying degrees during August-October and this year was the first year ever it was extended to December (first offered in 2005).

Yes I know that. I was comparing how hard it was to get ADRs for Sep-Dec recently (for my Oct & Dec trips) and now how easy it is to get my ADRs for my Jan/Mar/May trips. It's nice not to stress over making ADR changes this time. Unfortunately I make changes up to the minute. With my next trip 2 weeks away I find myself still tweaking my choices. It's all good.:hippie:

I just did mine for Memorial Weekend and got what I wanted. I didn't go for any hard to get ADR's, though.

I may have to make adjustments once I find out what park DS's Middle School Band will be playing in and what day they are playing. I don't want to miss his WDW Band march for an ADR. LOL

It's definitely easier to get reservations when free dining isn't going on. I just made our March dining reservations about two weeks ago and switched some of them around last night without any trouble. I too was able to get Le Cellier, but did have to settle for an odd time - 2:40, but I dont' care! We're not picky, lol.

Same thing here.. No problems getting everything we wanted at the times we wanted. I too have been "adjusting" some of our ADR's just this week and I had my choice of everything.
My AAA travel agent swears it's because there is no free dining going on. Seems very odd but I'll take it!!! ;)
