Ok, so not sure how it happened, but Disney doubled our dining plan for the last 4 days of our trip. I think it partially had to do with the fact that the last two days of my waitlist came through just over a week beforehand and we had to add the dining plan to the second half and pay for it immediately.
So when we figured out they had mistakenly doubled it, we went to the desk to try to find out what to do, and they said "we can't fix it, so use them!" So we did! Our original dining plans were as follows:
Tues- CS for lunch Dinner at Jiko under previous dining plan
Wed- CS for lunch, Dinner at Boma
Thurs- Le Cellier for Lunch, Rose and Crown for dinner
Friday- CS for lunch, Boma for dinner
Sat- Boma for Breakfast paid for out of pocket, CS to take to the airport
Our updated plans ended up being:
Tues no change
Wed no change
Thurs no change (we didn't discover this until after dinner at Rose and Crown)
Fri- Hollywood Brown Derby for lunch and California grill at Dinner (can you believe I got this ressie Friday morning?)
Sat - Boma we no longer had to pay for it. And CS to take to the airport.
We also transferred 9 CS credits into 27 snack credits (27 Mickey ear rice crispy treats, oh my!) and we still had 24 credits for snacks left! We mixed it up between cookies and pretzels and whatnot. We actually had to buy another duffel bag for all the snacks we got! The nieces and nephew got an early Christmas with all the goodies we gave them!
The only problem with the extra credits is that we had to continuously go to the front desk to get it fixed since they weren't showing up on the card. But well worth it. It was great because we got to try California Grill again (we never really planned to go there again since the last 2 times we have been there have been terrible) and it was fantastic!
We definitely got our monies worth out of the plan this time, but spent a little more on apps and gratuity due to the nicer places. but it was well worth it! Now if I could only teach my BIL some class when he goes to nice restaurants.
So lesson of the day, check your dining plan credits each day, you might actually have more than you thought!
