When we flew home last month from our connection in Atlanta to Albany, the pilot announced that there was a problem with one of the generators. We were landing in LaGuardia to have it repaired.
It's not something that you want to hear when you're up in the air, but it happens. All told, the delay took about an hour and a half, two hours.
Yesterday, we got a letter of apology and $75.00 vouchers that can be used for travel within a year. We never expected or asked for compensation. We were just happy to get to Albany safely.
