just got back monday and tuesday and omg the crowds are out of hand, waiting in line for some rides over 65 mins, just thought i would check in since everyone is always asking.

Are the lines that long because the crowds are so big or because they cut down the queue and ride so everyone has to wait on one side because the other side is shut down?

That's a good question. :thumbsup2

I would like to think it wasn't. In fact I personally would put up with huge crowds just because it would show that tourism in Orlando has recovered. But I was there not too long ago and the lines I saw were due to cutbacks, not mobs of people.

It is still peak time. July is the busiest summer month and the crowds linger on until the middle of August. I do know that the last couple of weeks have been extremely busy so I don't think it is from cutbacks.

I was at the parks on Monday and it wasn't crowded at all,I did singles in Mummy with the stand by line at 25 minutes and Shrek had a 15 minute wait.I looked at Rockit running continuously and kept asking if it would open soon and then headed to IOA when it started raining and thundering and saw streams of people heading out of the park. After the rain calmed down I walked around the park with basically everything but SpiderMan closed due to the weather to basically just look at the Potter construction. Now I did go into the parks like at 4pm after being at Sea World to ride Manta in the early part of the day,so maybe Universal was crowded early and the heat scared people away as the day got hotter.

We were there in July, the 9th through the 12th. They only had 1 side of The Mummy open and 1 side of MIB. When I asked if The Simpsons had all simulators running the TM said yes but while we were in line they were only sending people in one direction.
