Wow! CMs are PUSHING the MVMCP!

I just added a night to our December trip because I haven't been able to work out airfare yet. My plan was to go EARLY Saturday morning and come home Tuesday afternoon, but I can't be sure there will be discounted flights for those times. Right now airfare discounts only go through Oct. 4. To be on the safe side I added a night so we can go home Wednesday if the flights work better that way. The CM was nice, but WOW! did she want me to buy MVMCP tickets. TODAY! If airfare is too high we will stay HOME, so I am not about to buy non-refundable tickets to a party we might not attend! We have every intention of going to the party but I'm not interested in buying tickets until we are positive we can manage the airfare! She told me I better buy them soon because they sell out quickly! Mid-week tickets at the beginning of December are going to sell out the first week of May? If that's the case I don't WANT tickets - the place will be packed!

Wow, that's really strange.

Especially since tickets for MNSSHP go on sale TODAY, and as far as I know dates have not yet been officially announced for MVMCP, let alone tickets put on sale!

Oh... OK. Apparently they are on sale today, even though not yet formally announced, no notice on web site, and today is also first day for MNSSHP. Still pretty strange.

They have not sold out quickly in the past, and at the prices they charge, I don't think it will happen this year either.

I called Dinning this morning to schedule my ADR and the CM really pushed the MNSSHP tickets. I think it's like going to a drive thru and they ask every car "do you want fries with your order?"

First she said the tickets went on sale this morning and that's all they did for the first hour after CRO opened - sell party tickets. I told her I need to get airfare first. Then she added the night to my ressie and asked if I wanted her to tell me what nights the party was happening during my stay. I already know it's Monday and Tuesday. Then she offered AGAIN to sell them to me and told me they go fast. Well, since I didn't magically acquire airfare in the 60 seconds I was speaking to her, NO, I am not ready for tickets!

Well, they have jacked the prices so darn high, they must feel they need to push it more this year. If they charged $30 each, they'd be sold out every night!

I actually work with someone who used to be a reservations CM. She explained they had sales goals they had to meet every month. Like so many air reservations, so many character meals, etc. This is probably another thing they have to push now.
