We checked in (well after 3.5 hours of struggle Friday at midnight to Saturday morning) and I just got an email already from DCL that my information was verified and accepted. We did have 2 new passengers with us as well. Wonder if they are moving faster now in general than they have previously.

I can't imagine they've wanted to be this close in all along for approvals. Probably fighting to catch up since they started the new online check in a little while back.

When we were on the Wish in Nov it was about a week in advance when ours was accepted.

When we sailed in September our info wasn't accepted till the Saturday before our cruise on Monday! I think I tested and had that done and then a few hours later got the approval that my check-in info was approved. Yes, I know the approval wasn't needed for me to test either...Glad they are moving faster though!

Weird, we checked in about two weeks ago and nothing yet. Seems like your is the exception rather than the rule.

We've experienced both. A couple days after checking in to a couple days prior to cruising.

I was looking for a thread with this information. I checked in last Wednesday and am still "pending review" and was wondering how panicked to be. Has anyone's info been rejected because the pictures were bad or something like that?

If they don't like the pics they will email you or fix it at the port. You can chat with DCL about "pending" 5 days before your cruise if your status hasn't changed.

I just got my "online check-in finalized" email today, and it's been 19 days since I entered the info. I thought for sure at least one photo would be rejected. I never did remember to take a photo of my daughter, so I ended up cropping a photo I took of her when we ate at an outdoor restaurant b/c it was the only one I had that she was really facing straight ahead. There were umbrellas and awnings in the background. Go figure!

I have not cruised since 2018 and don't recall anything about checking in and photos and waiting for verification.
Is this something new since Covid?
Can you still just check-in at the cruise terminal?

This is new since COVID. It’s mandatory and seems to be here to stay. No, you can’t “just check in at the cruise terminal.”
