Wow! 1/2 an hour makes that much difference??

I just booked my van rental with Alamo for our April trip. My original dates/times were April 24 at 6PM to May 3 at 6PM, and I was getting $792.xx for an 8-passenger minivan. Just for giggles, I changed the pickup time to 6:30PM instead of 6:00PM, and the base price dropped to $615!! That's a heck of a difference for only 1/2 hour's time!

Unfortunately, those are the best rates I could get. I specifically need an 8-passenger van, and with the SUNPROMO code and a coupon, I got the rate down to $570 for 10 days on Alamo. I'm certainly going to be checking the rates until April and hope the rate goes down.
