ever work for disney land/world?

personally, i wouldn't. i think it would ruin the magic. i won't even take the keys to the kingdom tour.

No. I don't like stupid people and I think the CMs have to probably deal with a lot of them.

I very much will. I'm applying for the fall advantage college program.

I, personally, see it as an amazing oppurtunity to meet people from all over the world, make 'the magic', and add a great company to me resume.

Actually, yeah.
I'd rather be an imagineer, but as an odd job while I continue to attempt and apply, I'd consider it.

i don't wanna make the magic, i want the magic premade and waiting on me when i check in. ;)

i'd rather do study abroad than cp, personally. i feel like study abroad would stand out on a resume really well, and my school has a really great program for it. but i dunno if i'll ever do it.

I'd love to! Especially if I end up living in Orlando when I'm older.

See, I'd rather be behind the magic.

I already know the mechanics/details behind a ton of special effects in the park, and I want to be among the creative minds creating that magic. :D

Of course, being an Imagineer is completely different than being a park CM.

I plan on doing that, too. Well, either that or volunteering abroad.

Disney is such an expansive company that EVERYONE knows what it is. It's a conversation starter.

Mainly I want to do it because it's something I can only do in college (as care-free, I mean). Since there's no way I'm working at a minimum wage job that has nothing to do with psychology after I've gotten a degree.

i agree. but also, i'm pretty much almost done with my gen ed, so i don't want to waste time down in florida getting random elective credits instead of actually getting my required classes. study abroad would be the same thing though, which leads me to not really want to do that either. :confused3 i also don't want to move that far away for that period of time, so.

but my biggest reason is that i don't want to know the behind the scenes of the magic.

I completely understand not wanting to ruin the magic for yourself. :)

the CP has been advertising all over my campus. tons of those purple fliers every where. it seems to be getting some attention from the students.

Same for my campus. Every bulliten board has a poster. Every table (library, dining hall, starbucks, EVERY table on campus) has pamphlets on it, the student union has a couple big banners. The sidewalk is filled with hidden mickeys drawn in chalk. That's how it is everytime a presentation comes around.

We must have some awesome campus reps. :)

the only thing in side walk chalk on my campus is advertising a vanilla ice concert and free beer at some bar. :rotfl: but we have all the posters on the bulletin boards and the purple fliers.

i wouldn't 1)it's too far
2)CP isn't offered at m school so I couldn't do that
3)i wouldn't want to ruin the magic or see what goes on behind the scenes, whether it's negative or not.

i know people who've worked there and loved it, also people who've worked there and hated it. i'd rather not risk it personally.

but i love that awesome people want to work there and make magic for me! :goodvibes

No. It would totally ruin it for me.

I know someone who works there and they tell me what happens. I don't want to personally experience it.

I work for an amusement park around here in the summer and the whole place has been tainted for me because I know how they really are.

Disney is magical. I NEED something magical in my life. If I worked for them the magic would be gone.

yes, I want to be an Imagineer :)
and if im ever a cast member i want to be a hotel manager
