Would you visit Orlando next early-mid March?

My kids will have a 3 day break 3/16-18 we're trying to figure out a good time to visit WDW and Universal ~ we could start the trip prior to their break, towards the end of the previous week. Easter is later next year ~ 4/24, what could we expect out of a March visit? They should also have a 2 day break in mid-late Oct. 2011 ~ we visited early Oct. last year and it was so hot and humid, we'd like to avoid that again.

TIA

Anybody? As of 8:40pm my time (mountain time) 40 people have open my thread and yet not one response ~ why? You are aware you can "hover" over the thread and it will show you the start *quite a bit* of the thread, that way you'll know whether or not you feel like posting a comment. If I don't think I can offer an opinion I don't open the thread.

So please come back and let me know what you think of our plan for next March. :flower3:

I haven't been to WDW in March, but our friends went two years agao and are going back this March. They loved the weather - warm during the day, but cool at night. They were able to swim at the resort pool. Texas (and other southen states) have spring break mid March - so it may not be as crowded as Easter week, but there are a lot of schools on break at that time.

Have fun - anytime is a good time to go to Disney, imo!!!

I am also surprised you haven't had "many" response to your question. I usually don't open this forum, but lurk around the Camping Forum. :cool1: We haven't been in March, but you should be ahead of most of the shcool spring breaks and hopefully the weather will be better that the 30's we had in December. The kids we're familiar with around here (GA, AL, FL) have breaks in early April.

October could again be hot and humid, but could also be cool and dry. Compared to No. Utah, it could be uncomfortable. But WDW is always enjoyable. :wizard: I would not hesitate to go in March if our schedule allowed, but we spend Christmas/New Years there every year and try to slip in a visit in the summer if we're not going to the Gatlinburg TN (Dollywood ) area.

Go in March and enjoy! :dance3:

Yes I would go in March, we are going the same time frame this year, and it will be our second trip the same week :)

We just got back from a 10 day stay starting on Feb 20-March 1. Other than the super cold weather (which we were told was totally not normal for that time of year) we would do it again. I don't know how the crowds will be for week you are thinking about, so I'll post about what we experienced.. We were actually surprised by the amounts of crowds we saw. We often had wait times in the stand-by lines of 35 minutes - which isn't too bad, but not what we were expecting.

Hope this helps a little! :goodvibes

Most of Texas has Spring Break during that time frame - I can confirm that our school district will be off during those dates, so that means most of Houston will be off as well and that is a popular time to go to WDW. So there will be crowds, but they will be manageable. I have actually been there during that time frame (when I was just a teenager) and believe it or not it was already quite warm then, but nothing like the summertime.

I think it is a great time to go - have fun and enjoy!

Many Canadian school districts are off the middle week in March. Canadians love to travel to Florida (and Disney!) over March Break, so that week does tend to be busy.
