Would you take ART from the Super 8 on Katella?

Trying to figure this out. DH with an ECV, me, DD4 and DD6. We will have at least a single stroller (been getting beat up asking about a double on the Disney for Families board). Should we plan on taking ART? I'm a bit impatient and hate waiting on shuttles and such; so, I'm inclined to walk, but I wanted to find out if I'm on the right track, or if I'm delusional... Thought you guys could help!

Just to be realistic, if you like to stay until the park closes, chances are you will be walking back to the hotel anyway and have wasted your money.

The last ART bus leaves 30 minutes after park closing, no matter ho many people are waiting for it. If your party got split up, they will not wait. The drivers are generally very rude (oddly enough, except the ones that drive the Toy Story lot shuttles, they have a much different attitude, even though they are run by ART as well). We live in the area and have had family decide that they wanted to use ART, since they were not driving.

Public transit is a possibility. Another option would be to take the Garden Walk shuttle, if it is running.

All in all walking may be your best choice. Another option would be to walk into the toy story lot and take the shuttle from there.

Since you mentioned being impatient you might want to pass on ART. The walk isn't too far to the Super 8 so there is a chance you could do the walk in the time you'd be waiting for the bus.

We've stayed at the Super 8 twice and have always walked. We had a couple of small kids with us (3 and 4) but they were in strollers so it wasn't hard for them. The older kids were 11 and 13 and they did the walk fine with no problems. I don't like shuttles either, especially when we have a stroller.

We used take ART off and on when we stayed off site. They do not run a strict schedule so you will wait and if the trolley is full you will wait and there is very little shade anywhere they have stops if you are going during the summer. I have never seen them load an ECV before, they probably do but I have never seen it.

I have seen them load an ecv twice on our last trip. The gentleman in it knew what he was doing and helped expedite the process by anchoring himself (small world...rode with the same person twice).

The bigger issue...we always seemed to be waiting forever when leaving the park. It seemed like every other route came multiple times and the night we rode it after the second F! we were packed in like saradines.

ART was a nice option, but we did give up on it a few times and just walk. We were staying at the Desert Palms, so it really wasn't that far.

Thanks for the responses! I think I'll stick w/ the original plan of walking - I'm glad to hear that others have BTDT and that it wasn't too bad. :)
