Would you switch your AK day bc of EMH?

I have planned to go to AK with my family on a Monday in October. Historically it has always had the morning EMH. I have really used eadywdw to plan out my days. But on this particalar Monday AK is not recommended. I am guessing due to the emh. I really wanted a Tusker House ADR before park opening, so the emh really threw off my plan. I was at AK about 3 years ago in mid-December when there was emh and I thought it was busy but manageable. But this year we are taking a 20 month old. I can switch the day with HS. I just wanted to visit AK towards the beginning of our trip, but being there when crowds are lowest is most important. Anyone have any opinions on that extra hour in AK? Thanks!

It really depends on the date in Oct. If it's an overall low crowd day at all the parks, EMH in AK really won't be that bad.

Can I ask what date you're looking at?

(Also, sometimes EMH at AK get cancelled during times of the year with lower crowds. The day we plan to go to AK this month originally had the EMH scheduled, now it doesn't.)

All the crowd calendars I'm looking at seem to say that historically that is a moderate to low crowd day. Shouldn't be too bad even with EMH (which, again, they might cancel... there's currently no OFFICIAL calendar from Disney available for Oct. 2015 right now).

If it's EMH, you might not want to do Tusker House right at 8 am then, though. Maybe you could ride the Safari and/or Everest early to take advantage of the EMH and then have breakfast a little later.

Often, the "not recommended" days on crowd calendars don't necessarily mean that park will be unbearably crowded, especially if the overall crowds that time of year are low anyway.

One of the things I like to do with Tusker House is get a 10:30-10:55 ADR and use it for bruch. We enjoy breakfast and some lunch foods and do it more leisurely. We've done some park touring already and don't have to rush through.

CP never seems to have an issue getting me out in time for RD on a pre-park opening ADR, but the times I tried it with Tusker we couldn't get out in time. I've been happier since switching to brunch.
