There is no need to keep a close on the dealings of Delta. Will some flights change? Yes, but some change anyway on a monthly or quarterly basis. United is flying under bankruptcy. US Airways is flying under bankruptcy (its second one at that). There really is nothing to worry about.
Detla filed Chapter 11 at this time so it could be grandfathered under the more lenient bankruptcy laws (the law changes mid-October). All this does is allow Delta to renegotiate its current labor contract and all other contracts. Do not look for Delta to go away anytime soon (after all it is the #3 carrier).
What would be interesting is if Delta and Northwest merged. It could happen since Delta is an east-coast dominate airline and Northwest is a west-coast, mid-west dominant airline. Oh and maybe watch Delta actually add MORE international flights.
