You do realize that once you take the "escargot" out of its shell, it is then a slug, right? Yuck!!!

That's merely an ornamental serving piece. It doesn't remind me of the real thing, Indy.

I liken it to a whole oven roaster. You know what it is, it looks very similar to what it was, but it is no longer live. And it's food.
