Would you sell or hang onto these?

About 15 or 16 years ago I started a collection of the original Disney "Barbie-style" dolls. I have every prince and princess that you can possibly think of, plus some others like Mary Poppins, Tinkerbell, Peter Pan, Cruella deVil etc. I think there are 35 or 36 total, all still mint in their boxes.

They were originally going to be for my daughter who is now 17, but she was never that into dolls so I never gave them to her. I am now thinking about selling them on ebay, but then I thought maybe I should hang onto them a little longer. Would you sell as a set or individually if you sold them?

Any opinions?

I'd look to see if they're selling well at all. If so, I'd sell them in sets grouped by movie.

Depends- do you currently need the space or the money? If so, yes, sell them. If not, then hang on to them a bit longer.

If you don't need the space or money, I'd hang onto them. Maybe you will have a granddaughter one day who will be into Barbies. How neat to have grandma's Disney collection.

You can do a search of 'completed listings' to see how much each doll is going for. That should give you a better idea of whether it is worth it to sell them or not.

But, the longer you hang onto them, the more valuable/rare they will be (usually). Especially if you can maintain their *mint* condition.

Actually, we don't need the space or the money right now. I actually forgot I even had them until recently.

I think I will take poohandwendy's advice and check some completed listings and see what I come up with.

donnajon, I am hoping to NOT be a grandma for a long time! Who knows, they may be antiques by then!
