Not so much for the characters actually, but based on the food? It looks like a place that everyone would like in our party (kids 13, 8, adults 56, 55, 37, 37).

What was you're experience and thoughts here, would love to hear the good and bad.

Thanks

I go there for the food not the characters. It is the best. Their food is healthy and fresh - blue cheese and beef salad, numerous pasta dishes and tropical slaw, not to mention the juiciest prime rib in WDW. And the restaurant itself is absolutley beautiful and clean down to the tiling details in the restrooms. Very Victorian. Much better than Chef Mickeys and we have eaten there a lot.

We've eaten at Crystal palace twice, most recently June 24, 2005. We really enjoy the food here. There is a great selection of cold and hot foods. The salads were great and there are lots of them. DH and I also enjoyed flank steak and salmon. My kids, DD11 and DS 4, enjoyed the food as well as the character interaction. They probably prefer chef Mickey's for the characters but Chrystal Palace for the food. We've only eaten here at lunch though so can't really comment on dinner. ::MinnieMo It was one of the best meals we ate that week. ::MinnieMo ::MickeyMo

I've eaten at the Crystal Palace for breakfast twice, and let me tell you I thought the food quality was better than most breakfast buffets we visited. I was very impressed, which isn't easy considering I'm vegetarian and my food choices are limited.

We just had breakfast there....and it was A W E S O M E! The breakfast lasagna is out of this world!!! :Pinkbounc

The food is great and this is a must dine for me on each trip. The service is excellent, the food is hot & tasty and the characters come around at least twice. Went for lunch in 2004 and I had both lunch & dinner there in 2003. I found the food here much, much better than that served at the 1900 & Chef Mickey's.

I'm happy to see positive reviews right away, I"m excited to take everyone here. Also, do you know if it's considered 1 or 2 table service credits for this restaurant on the dining plan?

Thanks again, keep the reviews coming ;)

We have eaten at the CP several times and the food is always very good. The character interaction is quite good also.

just 1! :cool1:

I can only speak for the breakfasts. The food is WONDEFUL!! Especially the breakfast lasagna. It's so sweet you think you are going to puke!!! :) :) :)

I've only eaten there for breakfast. I'd definately recommend it for the food and everything else.:)

We have never had a bad experience eating here. The buffet has a lot to choose from and the quality of the dinner is much better the CM's.

We really love the salmon and the pork tenderloin and my 10 year old loves the pasta and pizza and of course the desserts are incredible. :earsgirl:

I am in the minority here, but I can do w/ CP. We only go for the characters. I've done lunch and dinner there maybe 4x in the past few visits. I've been to other buffets that are just better. Went there a week or so ago for lunch and they had the same thing on the menu they did the last 2 times we went there and that was a year or more. It's not BAD..just plain and same 'ol, same 'ol to me. Of course, after going to BOMA everything seems that way! :) But everyone should try whatever they want because everyone's tastes are different.

monkey wrench...got a fried spider in my potatoes there once but guess that can happen any where..the biggest problem was the blase reaction of the server when she asked me if i wanted more to replace them...uh they are from the same pan hence no doubt had a leg or two floating around in them...can't bring my self to go back

Jan - OHHHH, Wow, Well I guess I might have had a problem with that too....... ewww!!!

Our experience's however have been wonderful, we always go for lunch and it is really good, freshly prepared food. The character interaction is great, they've always spent a lot of time with ds, and every other child/table. My ONLY complaint is that once we went and a couple of tables past us had about 6 kids and 8 or 10 adults, who WOULD NOT wait there turn for the characters, every time one came towards our table they would run up and "intrude" on our sons time. The characters go to each table and spend a lot of time for photo's, autographs, etc.... these people just really irritated me, and they just wouldn't "get it"!!! No matter how many times the cm told them. I realize that the kids were excited, but they weren't little, I'd say between 8 and 11, not 4 like my ds. My major problem was that some of the adults were doing it as well........ one of them, the kid, even climbed up on the chair at our table to grab onto pooh, while he was talking to my ds!!!! I'm just glad that the cm's handled it, cause I was getting "HOT"!!!

Anyway.............. vent over......... lol, I'd say YES, Crystal Palace is a must do......... as is Chef Mickey's, we LOVE Chef Mickey's!!!!!!

We have had some very good dinners at Crystal Place. We have never tried the breakfast, but hope to in our next trip(s). We just aren't big breakfast eaters.
