be well-off and never traveled the world

or

poorer and have traveled all over the world?

I don't know; I love, love, love to travel. If I were well off, I can assure you travel would be one of the top things on my agenda!

Well, I think I fit into the second category already, so you can see where my priorities lie.

Since you said poorER, I will assume that that does not imply actually poor but just poorer than really wealthy, which we are! :rotfl2:

I'd rather be well off and not travel the world that way I could buy my motorhome and travel the states :thumbsup2

Poorer and have traveled the world!

Depends on what you mean by poorer.

There are ways to travel the world when you're poor, but when you throw kids in the mix, it's nearly impossible, plus there's the issue of their schooling...

And I'd rather have kids and be "not-wealthy" than wealthy with no children, but well-traveled.

Neither, I would compromise and travel locally as much as I could afford and expand outward as my finances grew.

If I was young and single I would either be a flight attendant or an air marshal and see the world on someone else's dime while making a living.

Well, I guess we are part of the poor bunch.....but....we sure have enjoyed ourselves. You can't take it with you, the kids are only young once etc....

Can I get back to you with my answer.?..I'm expecting the Publishers Clearing House van to pull up to my house on August 31 st I'll be sure to post after they leave and I pick myself up off the floor :faint: promise

travel the world. no question.

if i can make rent and pay for food, i'd much rather see the world than have a big fancy house, etc. not even a question.

Travel the world. We've done quite a bit of travelling with the kids over the last 10 years. Now that they are 11 & 12, I have the cost of college staring me in the face. That being said, I plan to cut down to one "big" trip a year and to start filtering more cash to the college funds.

I'm Ok leaving this world much the same way I came in....with nothing :thumbsup2

Seems like if I were well off, then I could afford to travel.....hmmmmmm.......we don't have a TON of money as it is, but we still manage to travel. So I'm not sure how to answer.

I don't get out much, so I vote lots of money and not a world traveler.

I'd love to see the US and Canada. My experience is Michigan/southern Ontario, and east of there. I'd really like to go to Louisiana, Texas, Cali, Hawaii, and the Pacific Northwest.

The rest of the world can wait. Not a lot of interest thus far.

Well off and not traveled the world. I have no real desire to leave the country. Unless by cruise ship and to drive to Canada. But if I had to choose between poorer and traveled the US, then I would choose that option.

I'd rather have traveled the world and be poor. I hope I don't have to be too poor though! :thumbsup2

Assuming "poorer" means I can still afford a modest and safe place to live, food and health care then I go for travel the world. That is largely how we live now--lots and lots of travelling but we do not spend a lot on at home things. We have one car only, my purse cost about $5 a couple of years ago, etc. All the money other people enjoy spending on fancy cars, fancy purses, nice meals out, etc I enjoy spending to travel.
