I'd pick the January trip.

The only annoying thing would be the cost of the dining plan in 2013.

November trip

+ Free Dining
+ Already was able to snag some hard reservations (Cali Grill and 'Ohanas)
+ F&W, Mickey's Christmas Party
- Cheaper Resort
- More Expensive Air Fare

January trip

+ Cheaper Airfare
+ Better accommodation at a little over value $$$
- Paying for the Dining Plan
- No special events happening
- Cali Grill closed

It would for me.

Id we're throwing POFQ in the mix now I would pick POFQ - my favorite resort out all the onsite properties ive been too...location is great for boat transportation to DTD and centrally located for busses to parks...in my opinion worth the $300 more to upgrade

I vote for going sooner and staying at the new rooms at AOA. We are going 2 weeks before the LM rooms open, and would love to be able to stay value especially in a brand new resort room! I've gone during both time frames, and the January we went it was cold for a few days, but nothing to stop me from returning, however crowds were a bit lighter. Still if I had the choice I would go sooner, especially since the F&W is very fun. With free dining you can use some of your snack credits at the F&W and save $$. Good luck deciding.
